I won't be able to use my wheels once I put in the new rearend. Putting a rearend on from an 01 Z. I want to use these wheels but yet I want aftermarket wheels. The aftermarket wheels are winning. And I don't want to use wheel spacers.

By any chance, is/was ZBRA from Louisiana? If so, was this the car featured in GMHTP several years ago in an article titled "C' est La Z?"

We REALLY need to get on the ball, and get that car on the road! This thread is giving me the itch for a drivable third gen!

I have had a total of 4 GTA's 1 formula and 1 IROC-Z. I still have a 89 GTA and a 83 TA That I have had since high school. Only thing orig. on it is the rear quarters. It has a ford 9"rear, richmond gear 6 speed, daytona turbo hood, testarosa ground FX's all to 90 specs-2 engines a 350 and a 383 stroker. The car ran a 11.5 on engine and in the 10's spraying. My 02 is so quick that I had to pull the engine in my 3rd gen out to start my 383 build up.I have a 4 bolt with a steel crank, forged 6" rods,JE forged dished pistons,Brodix track 1 heads and matching intake,Big solid roller cam,2 diff carbs-800 double pumper and a holley pro-jection 4.All of this is apart and has not been put together yet.My 02 has taken all my time away to work on my 3rd gen.

I'm not sure where he was from, but yes, that car was in GMHTP a long time ago. He has a Yellow C5 now.

I miss my thirdgens.

Started out with a 86 T/A then an 87...went away from them for a few years then had my 89 GTA. Swapped in a TTA motor...but then it got hit a few times and then the motor blew so I'm in the process of parting it.

This is my first 4thgen and my first camaro. I LOVE the LS1 stuff but I'll tell you...I still like thirdgens better. My GTA handled better and had more "personality"(if that makes sense).

Indeed That's why "if" I were to ever do another project it'd be a LS1 swap into a thirdgen

The wheels I'm wanting are for 4th gens/vettes so they will stick out due to the spacers. And I really don't want to use spacers.

Yes, that is a kid in the trash. We throw them away when they're spoiled. The restoration set me back 15K and that includes the purchase price of the car. I used all GM parts with the exception of the seat covers and carpet. It took 9 months to complete. It would have been less but the body shop had the car for 6 months.

Be patient it will come with time. Took me almost five years and $9400+ not including the $4000 i paid for it. But it was all worth it now its time to start working on the 2K.

The Firebird Formula is the project at hand right now, but next up (probably 2 years from now) will be my 91 Camaro RS. Body has been restored, just needs paint. I've got a low mileage LS1 longblock I'll probably build up and put in it.

Its almost exactly like the one in my sig, which belongs to my cousin, but i also have T-Tops. 89 000 miles, mint condition, no rust, looks brand new. I'll post up some pictures this weekend. By the way some SICK 3rd gens guys, i love them!
