There were several different stripe options in 68 and the bumble bee was one.

3 stripe options:

The bumble bee (header panel and fender edges), SS header panel and fender/door stencil/stripe combo, as well as the ever popular "band-aid" Z/28 hood and deck lid stripes (only available on Z/28 models).

new news to me i thought that the 67 ss was the bumble bee stripe and the 68ss was the stripe that went over the top and halfway down the sides and the 69 ss stripe was the hockey stick stripe i knew the hood and deck stripes were z28 only stripes i just didnt know that the bumblebee stripe was an option on the 68.

Generally that's right, but as was common in those days I believe the '67 stripe may have carried over to early '68 cars and then they went to the "over the top and halfway down the sides" stripes. So early 68 SS could have had the bumblebee like others have said.
