Just for the curious....I have a '95 Hurst equipped 6-speed Convertible TA.."KATIE"....PURPLE....Which is "Cyclamen Metalic"...The '93 Purple is as mentioned a grey with a purple tint...One of the guys in KSFBA.org here in Kansas has a '93 Z-28 that color...Almost bought a brand new '93 that color but didnt care for it. Just my two cents....Can anyone help with a further breakdown for colors and options for Katie?
Thanks Jeffrey

1993 Z28 Camaro's issued 19 1LE cars, all hardtops. All 1LE Camaro's went to the track but one and it's in my driveway. All made at the St Therse plant in Canada.
Also the difference in tops may be determined by which plant the car came from. California cars had tops the same color as body, the rest of the world got the black tops. California cars also got all the emission control crap, and 10 less hp.
My 95 was a Mytic Teal from Cal. and wouldn't run better than a 14.20 at the track! And that's with every bolt on known to man! Traded it for the SS and now we're movin!

Ive never seen a Camaro with purple t-tops. That seems like it would look like complete ****.

ile is a production code, it is in the rpo codes, yes only 19 were made in 93, and no not all of them went to the track. here is one of the 19.

The 19 1LE's were made at St Therese, All Camaro's came from Canada via two different factories. I believe that St Therese closed down when the production of the Camaro did. I can't remember the name of the other one.
We had to pay cash up front to order this car. We visited 8 different Chevy dealerships that would not order the car. Finally the salesman at Autoway took the order. It was ordered in July/93 and received in Aug/93. We had to sign releases to take possesion of the car and it came with NO warrenties. None of the cars were sold to anyone below the age of 25 years. Out of 19 1LE's, I tracked all but 2 to the track, I even found Johnnie Hunckiss that way, he has a TA 1LE.
It is a suspension package and the car has only the basics. No air conditioning, a 6 speed borg and warner, Adjustable Hal shocks, and 323 gears. Naturely asperaited it runs 12.3 in the quarter. The torq is unreal and it will put you in the backseat. It shifts into 6th gear at 155mph and still keeps climbing. We are tossing around the idea of taking it to Nevada where they run the 80 mile speed course. My husband would drive but I'm not to sure about being the navigator. They run with one because some of the cars run steady at around 200mph.
It's a great car on the street, a little loud but legal. Gets about 24mtg on gas, and still kicks *** on fools. You would think that people could hear the new cam and understand that there is no way in hell your gonna win.
