I don't think it's rare at all. Actually, I know for 94's that all hard tops were "supposedly" a custom thing. Whenever you went to the dealer back in the day, they always had these cars with T-tops because it was the cool thing. So, to have one with a hard top, it was harder to find. I would assume that 93's were the same way. Someone else is asking the same question and apparently you two are friends or something. Why don't you just call the dealer and find out?

are you sure about that Purple Pearl Metallic? i don’t think that the purple had gotten added to the color options until 96. purple was added the same time as the chameleon green and red and white leather was added as an option for interiors. i remember this because a few months after having my TA painted purple i got a new "Pontiac High Performance" magazine promoting the purple and chameleon green paint and red and White leather options that were new for that production year. I have also looked at the 1993 brochure put out for the dealers to give away and there is no purple for an option. There is a medium red metallic which is basically burgundy. There is a grey that had a purple tint to it. do you think that may be the purple you are talking about? It is called “gray purple metalic”.

I also thought that T-tops were not an option till 94 but i do see “hatch roof” as an option to back you up on that.

Got this straight out of a book i had that describes every year of Camaro produced.

93- 4.1% had t-tops
94- 35.6%
95- 38.9%
96- 43.8%
97- 43.3%
That wraps up the LT1s with t-tops

Is there a site somewhere that breaks down how many cars have the options yours has?

I have never seen another 1994 Z28 hardtop w/ an A4 and in metallic teal...

I know of at least 3 93 purple pearl metalic camaro z28's here in Idaho, I know of a couple other v6's, some of the v6's are 94's though.

The paint colors name "Purple Pearl Metalic" is a little mis-leading. Its not real purple. Its almost grey. Like whynot, Im also sure that PPM was offered in 93. I know of a few TA's and a few Z28 that came in that color.

On both Firebirds and Camaros: Gray Purple Metallic (what you're calling 'Purple Pearl') was available in 1993 and 1994. Medium Purple Metallic in 1995 and 1996. And Bright Purple Metallic in 1997 and 1998.
