winter time driving

Is it helpful to put chains on the tires if u dont have a second car for the winter and ur camaro is running at least 415 hp.

Chains may be illegal depending on your state. I sure as hell wouldn't run them on a Camaro with over 400HP. Buy a set of cheap wheels or use your stockers and put on a good set of snow tires and put 100-200lbs of weight in the rear well area. That will help get through the snow. You'll cause a lot less damage that way. If a chain breaks while spinning it'll rip the hell out of your car! Chains are illegal in Michigan as are studs in your tires.

yeah man, just pick up a beater. I got a 91 Dodge Spirit for $500 this summer, looks like crap, burns oil like its going out of style, busted heater core (smell antifreeze)...but it runs and will work great in the snow. Just find your self a POS, because it will be less of a headache for you.
