Just wondering if anyone has any commercials for the LS1 camaro? I'm assuming there were some made.... I dont remember

 

I never saw one. I did see some Trans Am commericals posted on the web.

 

The only one I can think of is the LT1, it had a Jimi Hendrix song in the background.

Yah i saw the trans am ones i just didn't know if some LS1 camaro ones had come out and i just never saw them....

 

damn i never thought about it but i never saw any either

 

you all saw atleast one. THe two kids at night and the one kid can tell which car it is by hearing the motor. Then a z 28 goes by and a he says what it is then the other kid ask "yeah but what color."

 

I never realized that was a LS1 Camaro commercial, knowing that now I would love to see it again.

I've only seen a Z28 commercial...

Two brothers were up in their room at night and the little one would tell the older brother what car would pass by, just by hearing the sound of them...

car 1: "mustang"
car 2: "caravan"
car 3: "THAT'S THE SOUND OF A Z28 CAMARO WITH 305 HORSEPOWER, REAR-WHEEL DRIVE, OPTIONAL 6-SPEED TRANSMISSION, AND T-TOPS!!!!"

older brother: "Yeah..... but what color?"

I thought that commercial was for the LT1 not the LS1. I remember the kid saying 275 HP and then the next year it was changed to 285 HP? If they had one that said 305 HP, I never saw it. Funny how no advertising and then they stop making them go hand in hand. Best bang for the buck and very few of us ever knew.

 

Damn, never saw that one either. In fact, as a Camaro owner since 1988, I never saw a 3rd gen commercial either. In fact, the only commercial that I can think of that had a Camaro in it was the one with two guys pushing a 3rd gen (IROC or Z28) to a gas station then only putting in $2 of super unleaded. I think it was for Shell Gas not Chevrolet.


Surprising that the cars sold as good as they did.

 

i can remember seeing the camaro commercial, but the only one i could find that had a ls1 in it is a black ws6 eating i think a ferrari

 

Yeah, the commercial with the kids was for a 93 Z28....so that's ancient old.

The only LS1 commerical that I can remember was a red Z28 driven through between two bikers on Harleys and they gave each other the thumbs up. Wouldn't know where to find that one though, it was moderately cool, but nothing like the TA commercials....and they wonder why they hardly sold any of these cars, most people had no clue what's under the hood of my car when I bought it new in 98.

I saw one once really late at night of a guy in his driveway talking to his red SS camaro. He was holding up the key fob saying things like" who's a good car, who loves you, etc. etc." I'd like to get a copy of it sometime if I could ever find it.

You know I still get people saying "Nice Mustang!" or "Does that have a V8?"

Chevrolet is the dumbest division of GM IMO.......look at the Aveo. Who in the HELL wants that! I would buy a hundai first, better warranty, better size car, and better gas mileage. Chevys lack of F-body comercials and ads are directly reflected by their sales.

 

I remember a commercial for the 98 camaro where the guy is driving and gets behind a group of bikers and then passes them as they stare at the car. The car was a red Z28.

 

i saw that one too.... i thought it was in 99" but i guess it doesnt matter.

It may have been 99, I don't really remember.

 

I dont remember any camaro comercials but I remember the black trans am that was sitting at the stop light at night and when the light turned green he hit the gas and the light exploded.
