99Z28, 75k miles, 500+ passes, 1 track event, about 400 miles total of all out corner carving.

I've had more wear and tear problems with the vette, ls1 f-bodies are remarkably durable considering the abuse they get put through generally. Or maybe I just bought a wednesday car as opposed to a monday or friday car.

Non-Abuse failures:

left turn signal
AC Compressor

Abuse related failures:

3 ring+pinon (10bolt lots of 5k nitrous launches)
1 posi unit (replaced with Eaton)
1 engine (lateral g cavitation, 6k in 2nd gear, very tight turn)
1 transmission (3-4 shift fork, synchros from lots of powershifting I would assume)

I don't keep track of what breaks now, it only gets driven hard or not at all, currently a headgasket, still using stock shortblock with newer crank and a couple newer pistons. Gonna drive this block into the ground over the next year. I don't drag race anymore, so the 10 bolt is fine for the corners.

Oh yeah, I had the belt-tensioner fail at California speedway. Not sure if it would be considered an abuse failure or part failure though.

I've never had to touch my window motors for some odd reason. Now that I've said that I bet they'll fail... lol

00 SS, all Ive replaced is the pinion seal, I turn signal bulb, and the radio crapped out. But Im gonna have to get a new rear soon so I guess add a broken 10 bolt to that list.

So far all I've replaced is the drivers side window motor. Apparently, it's at least the 2nd one to die cause I went to replace it and it already have the rivets drilled out (bought the car used).

Right now, my passenger side DRL bulb is blown, my turn signals don't work. I'm going to change the bulb tomorrow when I change the oil and hope that it fixes everything.

And my sail panel speakers in my monsoon system blew out.

I've had my car since I bought it brand new and now has 51,400 miles so, of course, I would have at least minor problems. Here they are:

1. at less than 10,000 miles, the A4 solenoid was replaced by the dealership under warranty
2. at less than 10,000 miles, the rear window defogger button was replaced by the dealership under warranty
3. at around 48,000 miles, one of the turn signal bulbs was replaced
4. at around 49,000 miles, the bulb that lights up the A4 shifter console was replaced

8. Rear hatch lock
9. Front and Rear Rotors

didnt have power windows but add:
1.alternator 3 times in month in a half, bout once a year after that
- hatch latch didnt work under 50 degrees
-clutch was partly my fault, but replaced it about every 13k-15k miles
-bumpers started sagging
-hatch paint sucked
-the chicken wire or whatever you call it that holds bottom seat padding broke out so i was basically sitting on the floorboard
-evertime i released the seat belt fast it popped the window and scratched the tint(kinda my fault i guess)
-oh yeah, i dont know how many times i replaced the relay for the blinker
-replace door catch

thats all i can think of right now

2002 z28 a4 stripper car 38,445 miles
I feel alot better after reading this post haha
Only problem i had with my z28 was both Cats died at 24,000 and some odd miles and set the SES light off, but they got replaced under warranty by the dealer and they also gave me a rental car for 2 days because they had to wait for the cat's. So i feel blessed so far considering how hard i drive the car.
This is my 2nd brand new Z28 my other one was a purchased brand new 96 Z28 m-6 convert and the only problem i ever had with that was it would go through alternators like crazy but atleast i got 7 years abd 140,000 hard driving miles out of it before i traded in on my 02 z28

ONLY had a few minor issues with my SLP Optioned 2002 SS
1)-Replaced the Battery
2)-Replaced the Altenator
3)-Speakers
4)-Pinion Seal
5)-Passenger Side T-Top wouldn't seal.....Replaced it. No problems since.
6)-Rotors
7)-A4 Tranny due to the Vig.3200 Stall letting go.
8)-Drive Shaft twisted in half....Kinda My fault.
9)-MAF Sensor & O2 Sensors(Front) went bad.

However, I have replaced about 1/2 the car with Upgrades.....
You know,.....The way they should have come from GM in the first place.
After All......These are "Sports Cars".

The SS has 39k miles on it, and I Drag Race it every chance I get. (Only @ the Track)
