I think the Z29 was something Mecham did for the Camaro. I think they even did a full package on a few cars. Search for Mecham Camaro and see what you come up with.

Why would you put the "R" on there in the first place? You're not driving an import, "R" stand for Ricer

then why did they put it on the cobra-r and the corvette-r and the viper gts-r ... so would you be calling these cars ricer or would you consider these fast domestics...i am curious as to your opinion now...and to stop ne controversy before it starts even though the corvette r is a circut race car they put the same basic motor in the c6 z06 ...so if n e one thought of that arguement guess it wont work now....

but plaese all opinions are welcome even the ones that dont make sense

Well if you think about it for a sec, they put the "R" on those vehicles because they actually denote something. They are competition cars and were badged that way from production and understandably I would not consider them rice. Now a Z28 has never had an "R" option (to my knowledge), therefore, throwing an R badge anywhere on a car that was not originally optioned with an "R" package makes it rice.

Now this is all my opinion and what you want to put on your car is YOUR choice

understandable but would it still be rice if it was done tasteful as such making a z06 bagde with the r on it...or making this car all out race and addind a r to the badge keep in mind it will be done tastefully if done...its not like throwint a skyline r on the car or n e thing...just those badges on the rear of the z29r car looked good

Done tastefully or not, putting an R on your car is Rice. Look at it this way; it's no different then me going out to my Isuzu and pasting a sticker at the end of "Trooper".

Ok look. You drive an American Muscle Car...a real one, not a mustang. Keep it that way. Have you ever pulled up to a light next to a mustang with a body kit, a deep muffler, an emblem on the side reading "GTR", and a redneck(no offense to southerners) driving the car thinking he's cool? Then you leave his *** sitting at the light? He doesnt look too cool anymore. I've actually ran into that situation before, and let me tell you, it felt pretty good. Bottom line, that emblem's not going to make your car go any faster. So if you get beat, your just giving the other driver more satisfaction. Its a Z28 baby! Thats good enough!

I would certainly advise against putting an R badge on your car.
That Z29 hood and spoiler look awesome BTW.

I had a buddy who did that. He took 96-97 RS camaro badges, cut the Rs off, and slapped them behind his Z28 emblems on his 94.

We all laughed.
