Add another 98 Z28 purple owner. Saw a purple bird last week. Have yet to see another purple camaro in person. Bought it for $9K with 58K miles.

For '97 there were only 883 Bright Purple Metallic Camaros, making it the second rarest color to find on a '93-'97 Camaro. The rarest of course being the '93 Indy Pace Cars at a production number of 633.
You should post some pics of it. I haven't seen a '97 in that color that didn't have heavy body damage since... well... '97 or '98.

whats even cooler is its ttops, m6 and its got factory roll up windows. Theres one spot where paint is flaked and im getting it fixed otherwise little scrathes that buffing will take out. Ill post when i get a chance.

You haven't lived until you've seen a '97 Z28 with black roof and mirrors, no t-tops, and the black/ebony/graphite/whatever leather interior, with chrome wheels. It's the most beautiful Camaro you can imagine!

That's actually Dark Purple Metallic. Despite the name, it is actually lighter than Bright Purple Metallic which was a '97-'98 only color. Dark Purple Metallic is reddish or plum, and Bright Purple Metallic is bluish like a concord grape.
