Default my 97 camaro ss wrecked pics

Found these pics of my camaro when it got rear ended few years ago. To repair the car it cost $15000 everything from the doors back was replaced even the back portion of the floor. The car was twisted like a pretzel. It should have been totaled but I could'nt let them do that. The body shop had the car for 2 months bit long but the car was perfect. Had the car ever since no problems at all.

Always sucks to see a badass car all smashed to hell and dead. I too lost a 99Z28 back in 10/04 but it wasn't fixable so it was totalled, was very cuz i loved that car so much. Hope no one got hurt during ur accident though.

thats movin out man, hella stout for a mild combo. Get that 60ft in the 1.80s at least and u'll have a solid 12.40s ride or faster. Trapping damn near 111mph id guess 350rwhp+ or -

Nice, car looks drop dead awesome! far as your combo goes, those headers are whats holding you back, on a stock headed LT1 a hot cam is great. How ever those shorties are choking it up really bad. Theres plenty of guys with your set up, just with long tubes making in the 34xrwhp range and running 12.0s at 112-114, your car stands to gain a good bit with some long tubes. I would look in to it, thats where your missing power is at.

those headers are one of my first mods 4 yrs ago wasn't planning to do much with it just bolt ons. A year later decided to do a cam really did'nt do the necessary homework on a good combo and just throw the cam in their. But the car ran good for me no problems at all I can't complain. Know I finally payed the car off 2 weeks ago and it's time to go to a diffrent setup probably get le heads and cam and definetly long tubes.

Awesome to hear that you stuck with the car. The end result was well worth it. Sweet ride.

Yeah thats true. There was a 99-up TA last night at Walker Dyno put down around 360 something and he runs 11.70s@116mph w/ fats and skinnies. i had just figured 350ish just from personal experience w/ a 330rwhp car i had hitting about 109mph but then i realized DUH theres lots of factors involved though like weather, DA, traction, car weight, etc etc
definately agree about the LTs given you a solid gain w/ the setup you have but damn are they a bitch to install

I figure the best time to install a set of long tubes is when I do the heads and cam.
I thinking of buying either kooks or jet hots not sure which to go with yet.I got plenty of time to figure that out, saving to buy a 12 bolt.

12-bolt is definately a wise investment before making the big HP esp. on a 6sp! I thought you had the LT4 hotcam or were you meaning once you get ported heads and a bigger cam???
