How many have outrun the cop....
So how many of you have lost the cop and new he was after you? Or just out smarted the cop?
Few years ago during my import phase, , I driving my father to my apartment one night and was tagged by Maryland Heights on Dorsett near Lindbergh. Knowing I was tagged, while he had to start the car, turn on his lights, and cut his u-turn I continued at my speed till I got to the next intersection. As soon as i got to that corner I nailed the gas. Never saw him again. Never let out of it either.
About two years ago (different apt in Kirkwood) I was working in Maryland Heights and it was a second shift job. At 10:00 during the week 270 is fairly open here in STL. Anyone who spends any time in STL will till you that Town&County loves the 40/64-270 neighborhood to score ther quotas. Knowing this I have two way of traveling through there. *****-to-the-wall or creep slightly slower than traffic(which dispite the 60mph zone is moving at 75 usually). So its 10:30 and I would rather be home so I descide that this would be a good night to fly by Town&Country. Sitting just passed the 40/64 merge to 270 south is a dark blue Crown Vic sitting sideways in the grass. So while I have monetum on my side (85 ish) I hear my V-1 tell me I was just a victum of laser tag. I see him turn on his lights and see the brake lights on the cruiser light up. Quick, what happens if you jump the gas on a rear wheel drive car in grass? Not much! I floor it and zip pass Manchester, Dourghty Ferry and get to Big Bend, pull over on the off ramp shut the car down and wait. (for those of you unware the 3.23 on a auto shift out of third around 120mph and I was in it long pass that shift ) While sitting in the darkness with my black ws6 on the shoulder I waited.....about 45-60 seconds latter I watch the cop fly by the exit and continue on. I went home and laughed my *** off for a while.

I live in St. Louis. I was out street racing with a bunch of guys one night off 100, and I happened to be the first race with a cobra buddy. We lined up, and the spectators behind us, and we took off. Well... we blow by a cop and all of the spectators blocked him long enough for me and the cobra guy to find a road to turn off onto, and I know the roads well around there so I took all backroads home. A couple weeks later I saw thsi cop again and we told me he would personally haul me off the jail if he catches me out there again. Never the less, he hasn't caught me yet lol.

well back in my younger dumber days i figured if they had me they had me. but if they were trying to get me they didn't exactly have me till they were within 100 feet behind me. i was cruising the main drag in redding california in my 95 camaro convertible and at the end i decided to roast them off i pulled a 180 getting squirrely all over and luckily the light was green ahead cause i could see the flashing lights of a redding p d car coming fast at about 200 yards. i had the choice just pull over and wait for him or punch it and see where it got me. i was doing 70 down a 35 through the middle of town and pulled it in just as i crested a hill and his headlights disappeared. i shut it all down and waited. like three seconds later this red white and blue blurr goes raging past the street i was on at like 75 or better. it took me 2 hours to get home and i only lived 15 minutes away. then another night i was driving the 1970 with a 400 and glass packs i punched it next to my friend on the same road and roasted him only to look up and see the r p d getting ready to u turn. well there was a bunch of rice behind us so i just simply turned off real quietly and waited for him but he pulled my buddy over and asked who i was. he didn't tell the cop and the cop gave my buddy a ticket for a loud stereo which he was stupid enough to be blaring right next to the cop. ofcourse that was well before i became an insurance agent but everybody has their stories.

well the best i have is when i was in my crown vic of all cars.........i passed a louisiana state trooper on hwy 15 on my way to school one day cruising at about 90 mph (keep in mind 15 is a two lane road and im an idiot) i blew past a cop doing the limit (55) and he immediatly turned around well i made the first right turn into a neighbor hood that connected to the back way home
well im doing a good 60 through this neighborhood (deserted it was 9 am monday morning and that was the reason for speeding) pasted my buddy in his mustang and decided i could hide my car in his backyard wellllll that didnt go as planned as soon as i turn around there is the trooper "son why were you running from me?"
"i was late for school officer....i needs that edumication" and yes i did tell him that lol
but in the end he got me for 70 in a 55 and escorted me to school lol

about four years ago in my 91 Z28. About 3:00 am. a buddy of mine wanted to see how fast we could get my car up to. we headed soth on I75 towards crittenden and owenton where the roads start to straiten out and the cars are fewer. well not this night. as we were heading south every time i got up to about 120 a car would switch lanes about 1/4 mile ahead of me and ide have to get on the brakes. we turned around and decided to call it a night. on our way north i notice that theres only a few cars in sight and i hit it. we were goin a little over 110 when we saw the cop sitting and waiting. i let off the gas as a first instinct but then i said **** it. luckily i had about 7 miles of strait roads and wide corners cause i was burried well past 145 till he was out of sight then i hit the exit and hid. that night will always be a reminder. dont stop if your already goin that fast

back in high school one night, I outran a cop on foot,
jumped into my friend's back yard, banged on his back door...
then we watched as the cop looked around outside with his flashlight.
does that count?

I was late for high school a few years back and speeding down this rural road in my bright *** yellow Lumina Z34. I was probably doing about 75-80 in a 40mph zone and went over a steep hill. A cop met me at the crest and I just nailed it. I didn't slow down-blew through a stop sign, pulled into a neighborhood and went the backways to school. I saw the lights in my rearview coming back over the hill when I pulled into the neighborhood-but I had a good 1/4-1/2 mile on him.
Now that I have a car that can REALLY get up and go, I will always stop. I don't know what I'd do if I lost this car-or lost control at 140+.

I had a run in with a cop of a different nature. When I bought my WS6 I had pulled it in to my dads best friends (I know ) garage and parked it beside a friends 98 Z who happens to be a cop. He offered the race and guaranteed me a true interstate race with no cops involved. Best interstate race I have ever had. No matter what he wants people to think I DID out pull him!
Question,
How fast do you guys think I would be going on a strait road with no hill to it and redlining 4th and hitting 5th on a basically stock M6 3.42 02 WS6?

I have outrun the cops twice, same way as most here. They spotted me at the top of a hill, I punched it and made it to an exit to hide before they caught up.
Easiest way to avoid a ticket is to have the blues sitting in the back shelf so they see them as they walk past.

I don't know if I'd ever run in my ss. These cars are just too damn fast and dangerous.
BUT. This past winter drifting around in a Volvo XC70 AWD station wagon right after a snow storm I passed a cop unknowingly. By the time he had made it onto the road and turned on his lights, I was about a 1/4 mile ahead of him. I just punched it, then made my way back home as quickly as possible.
I'm sorry. No RWD Crown Vic's gonna stop me if i'm in a 4wd or awd car during a snow storm. Most likely, his/her/it's intent would only be that I'm drifting around. Snow's just too much fun. heh.

I've done it twice, the last was in my GTP.A 3rd generation camaro was on my ***,so I get pissed and hammered it.As I'm pulling away a state trooper is coming the other way,by that time I'm 80 in a 45. There was alot of traffic behind me,so I went for it.I had to down shift and hit the brakes hard almost missed the on ramp to the highway. So here I am pissing up the highway and car starts to skip at 100+mph,I'm saying **** to myself and I just happen to look down at the shifter.I had forgotten to up shift, which was a good thing in a way for I slowed the car down and on the other side of the highway was 2 state troopers. I got lucky that day cause I had headed north on the highway instead of south, which was the easier escape path in which I bet that original trooper went. That was my second time and last,1st time was in my new 88 Sunbird GT turbo.Pontiacs make me do bad things

back in october me and my friend i was in my Z he was in a 350z were hanging out at a local spot when we were all kicked out for noise so while leaving we both floor it past the cops hitting 65 on a 35 another cop comes past us and whips his car around in the street so we gun it to about 110 on a 35 still and fly don the entrance road to the high school go around and come back the exit road it forms a U and is blocked by trees then went across the street parked in 2 diff driveways and swa the cops going flying out in the other direction. neither of us had front plates so they had no ids on us. of course with our luck our cars are modded uniquely for our are to the point you know us when you see us and now we always get tailed or no reason. Sad to say in my town theres no ral racers there me my friends 350z and 2 mutangs everything else is rice and wannabe rice like hooked up cavaliers, civics, and srt-4s. so its pretty boring in town so we have to venture elsewhere

damn, you beat me by 4mph, i got nailed for 116 in a 70 i need to scan that ticket, i was slowing down from 160+ though, i never saw him until he was on my *** or i would have put it back down. ive made it a couple times just like everyone else hauling *** then slaming on the brakes and turning onto backroads.
