I remember the IROC-Z's. I thought they were the most beautiful car ever made. I wanted one so bad in high school I could taste it. I finally settled for an '87 V8 Sport Coupe. Loved it. Now I love the great power and handling of the LS1.

I'm calling bullshit on that one until I see proof. EVERYONE has a friend of a friend whose cousin's dentist played golf with a guy whose aunt had one yet no one could EVER provide proof that a 90-92 Camaro, Firebird or T/A had a L98/ttops.

Notice I left out the Formula.

I still think the '87-'90 IROC-Z 'verts are some of the best looking cars GM ever made.
I'd love to have one.

90 was the first year they ditched the MAF for speed density as well. 90-92 SD cars were supposedly the cars to have performance wise. Mine isn't an IROC but it's a 92 Z28 SD 350 car that has run a best of 13.5 with nothing more than tire and bolt ons, dead stock internals, gears and even manifolds at the time at 3688 lbs no less.

I still kick myself, I almost had a 90 IROC vert 5spd in MINT cond. but the dealer was selling it as a 50k mile car when it was a TMU and last recorded mileage was over 140k lol He wouldn't budge on his $7500 asking price so I passed it up, nice car though.

I believe the 92 was the first year of the LT1 and the last year of the 3rd gen. It was a 265 or 285 hp car.

call it what u will... there are some. they are just very very rare. some dealers did this mod and that means very few actually done.

and it was rated 245hp but they put down near 230 rwhp stock which implies that they are more like 260ish on motor if not abit more
