That is a strange one. I've got an 02, 1LE but it is an A4. The 1LE was not at the time I bought my car available with T-tops. I'm not sure it ever has been! BUT, this car's vin # on the SLP door sticker is correct. The documentation is in order but I still would like to have seen a picture from under the car showing the Konis.

Anybody ever seen one like that?

When new you got a 2nd sticker from SLP showing the options and prices of them. I have the one for my car. The Birth Certificate was an option you could get and I believe can still order direct from SLP.

Woah...after looking at that auction I actually met this guy in 2004. I didn't realize it was a 1LE car. It looks the twin of my car. He had his car signed by Scott just minutes before mine. I was actually standing there when Scott signed it. This guy was complaining because he put a lot of miles driving over to Berger from Wisconsin and it was the most miles he had ever put on at one time. I told him to quit being a wuss and drive it!

What all does the certificate have on it? What is that picture of the tire on it?

Not sure what all it has on it. I think it's mostly info you provide. VIN make/model delivering dealer. The tire print is akin to it's foot print..you know like on a baby's birth certificate? It's mostly a cutsey marketing ploy to get you to spend another $50 or so on a fancy piece of paper.

NO. Any SLP SS could have it as an option I believe. Just go to SLP's site and look for it. It might be listed under the restoration parts for the 96-02 cars.

Hey you can order this from SLP at anytime for any year SLP SS Camaro. I have an 01 and while moving it got damaged, so I called them up gave them the information and they sent me one no charge. When you buy brand new they give you one and also give you a post card to fill out and they'll send you one. The tire is just a funny way of having the cars footprint on there. Hope this helps and definetly call SLP they are happy to tell you everying you want about your car.

I think I've heard of other T top 1LE cars. I think only the 97 and older cars were limited to hard tops with the 1LE as they were GM options. The SLP 1LE could be had on any car I do believe.
