Default Not sure what to do?

I have a question. I have been a Camaro fan since I can remember. I have 2 of them myself. A 1992 Camaro RS and a 1991 Z28 Convertible. Currently I am driving a 2005 Jetta GLI which I love to drive. Very fun car, but my heart still belongs to the Camaro V8 rumble. Here is my ? I have the oppurtunity to trade in my Jetta with only 24,000 miles for a 2000 Camaro SS with 111,000 miles. The old owner is a technician with the dealership that is selling his car. I test drove it and it ran like new. No stuttering or smoke coming out. It ran good. Engine bay looked very clean. Interior was good as could be expected with said miles. I am just having a hard time making this decision. Maybe you guys can help me a little bit on this decision. I would really appreciate it. Please don't hate on the Jetta. That will help me with nothing. It is in no way equal to a Camaro, but it is a good and fun car. If you have the oppurtunity to drive one I highly recommend it.

You are leaving out the real things that will matter when changing to a car like that from a jetta.

The cost of ownership will increase, you'll be using more gas insure will be going up. Is it sane to get in your area do you have alot of snow and or rain?

Posting this in a camaro/fbody site you'll get biased veiws, but in this case if you can takle another camaro $$ wise I see no reason not to snag it up.

My insurance will drop. Already asked my carrier. Don't ask. I wouldn't say that I will use more gas. The Jetta doesn't get the gas mileage people think it should get. I live in one of the sunniest parts of California. No snow and some rain showers during the season.

I understand about the biased views, just hoping people can put there preference aside and help me with an honest opinion.

Actually no that is not my question. I know it will. Both of my Camaros are high mileage. The 92 has 300,000 on the same engine and tranny. No work done, besides the cooling system. The 91 has 250,000, but didn't fair as good. Nonetheless is a good car still. I just want a good honest opinion from you guys. If I can't get that here then o'well I tried. I knew it was going to be a tough question on this forum.

High milage car vs. Low milage car... hmmm, I would probably keep my Jetta especially if there no issues...

It wouldn't be close to an even trade. I would guess that the camaro is worth maybe 10-12k the way prices are around the central valley for an ls1 f-body. I bet your car can easily get 18-20k.

That would be a foolish trade, your car is worth twice what that SS is. Sell your car on your own and then go buy a Camaro, don't get suckered into a trade just because you want the car really bad. I've been there and still regret it

take the time to sell your car. you will find a better deal on a camaro that is for sure. you can find a way lower mileage car with the money you make just being patient and selling the jetta.
