What if this....what if that. If the ls1 has this then that. If the cobra has this then that. Who gives a ****.
The fact of the matter is unless your a complete car enthusiasts you have ford guys and chevy guys. The argument will always be the same.
Chevy Guy:You have a blower.
Ford Guy: Well you have more cubes.
Chevy Guy: Your car weighs 2 tons.
Ford Guy: I have 40rwhp more.
Blah blah blah..... ETC.
Get the hell over it. Each car has its advantage and each car has that advantage at different areas and different times based on how they are modded.
All information below is based on drivers with equal driving abilites:
Stock Vs Stock- Win goes to the cobra. Its pretty inevitable. More HP, More Trq, broader powerband.
Stock Cobra Vs Ls1(bolt ons) Win generally goes to the Ls1.
Cobra(intake,exhaust) vs Ls1(bolts ons) Different outcomes based on mph where the race is started.
Cobra(intake,exhaust, pulley,tune vs Ls1 (Full boltons and Cam) Generally goes to the cobra, again can be based on mph the race is started at.
Eventually you get to KB corbas and H/C spary ls1s. ETC....
I may of left some mods out, but you should get the idea, you add certain mods to each and one will get the upper hand.
