If I were you I would HIGLY suggest lookin at Pro touring and gmachine site like ^^^ stated. fatman is crap. Detroit speed is probebly the best you can get for the money right now.
ATS is making parts to make you O/G sub pretty ****** trick.
actually as good or bettter than what I have.

I have a wayne due C4 setup in mine and the geomitry is RIGHT.
ford mustang 2 junk is not what you want for handling.
Unfortunatly Wayne had to shut down his shop and hand it over to his helper.
You might want to wait and see where that goes. his **** was UBER

here is a pic of the 1st gen sub before he made c5 and i think c6 subs

Chris Alston's Chassiworks makes a nice one, you can get it fit with all the control arms, brakes, spindles, and motor mounts. Also, in the Dec 06 Popular Hot Rodding there is a big write up on 21st century street machines subframe (gives lots of good info on aftermarket subframes if you can get through all the "product marketing"). IMO- bottom line is what you are planning to do with your car. Will you be tracking it regularly; or are you looking for pro-touring stance and higher performance recreational driving? If it is the latter, look towards changing out body bushings for polyu, getting into new upper and lower control arms, performance spindles, big brakes, high ratio steering box, and QA1 coilovers. It will save you the headache of tearing apart the whole front end (including removing the engine and tranny), save you between 1500-2500 bucks, and it will perform like a modern sports car on the street. Also, with the coilovers you can control the stance both for performance and looks. Oh year, and all with that 38 y\o subframe.

Good luck,
Chris.

Oh, by the way the "yellow" subframe you are referring to is probably the Chassiworks one.

yeah, the guys at totalcostinvolved have some great stuff, and gave me a nice quote for complete front and rear setup, it will be pro touring style stuff, coilovers, 13 inch slotted/crossdrilled wilwoods, nice size wheel and tires, etc

I cannot stress enough to spend A Lot of time over at Pro-touring.com before you buy anything
some of these Subs being advised to you are COMPLETE ****.

Do your homwork at a Site thats HEAVILY into going around corners in first and second gens

Try Cornercarvers and pro touring
Be warned that corner carvers have a LOT of engeniers and suspension GURUS
But they can be vERY **** if you do not use the search engine=)

Good luck
