Stock stance would actually have the rear of that car sitting higher than shown. It will show as much tire as the front wheel opening is.

Nice find, interesting color combo.
If you decide to do the HEI igintion, be aware they never came from the factory with them in '69, thus it can be a tight squeeze unless the firewall is massaged!

Super ride. If it's a true SS car it is rarer than the Z28 for 69. If it is and you want it original stock, get the SS hood with stacks and delete the Z stripes, IMO they're more happening than the Cowl hood everyone puts on these. (Not that your doesn't look good as it sits)

UBER-cool ride, and an "interesting" different color combo as well. If you have the scratch, those limited production alloy/injected 502 (or were they 454s?) ZL-1s are really sweet (are there ANY left??)!! It does not really matter, as long as we agree on NO POOPRA MOTORS/DRIVETRAINS!!!!!!

Two weeks ago I helped a friend of mine go pick up a 68 camaro roller which is in pretty good shape, he paid $3,500.00 for it. The 67's and 68's are less expensive than the 69's are now. It all depends on what year your looking for and what condition you want it to be in. There are several good web sites which will give you a good idea of what's out there. Nice car, the first gen bug has bit!! You should upgrade the rear suspension. You can go all out with a four link system that will make it a corner carver. Detroit speed and Heidt's both have bolt in four link systems. This allows you to run coilover's in the back. You will get some drop with the four links, but you can dial it in so as to control how much drop. They are bolt in systems and require no cutting, which on any original 69 these days is always a good thing. The systems also allow for use of a 9 inch rear, which you will likely need if you are dropping in a 572. In fact, both systems allow you to order a 9 inch housing already to bolt up to the new four link. Chris alston also makes a four link bolt in system, although I don't know of anyone that has used it as it is relatively new. I believe it is the same system that is used with air-ride rear suspension, although alston has the set up for coilovers as well. Also, look to upgrade your front as well. I just put on some BMR UCA's and LCA's with QA1 coilover's for my 68. It makes a world of difference in handling. The other benefit is that you can dial in ride height with the coilovers. Good luck, looks beautiful.
Chris.
