1999 Hugger Orange is really red!
This may be my #1 pet peeve, I cant even remember how many times people have thought my car was red. 99% of the time its a female who thinks that, which leads me to believe there may be alot of color blind girls in Missouri...I dont think it looks red at all and when they say that it gives me a nasty complex.
So what do you think, here is my HOSS next to my buddys Red Z...
I even painted my new LS6 intake color code 99U, Hugger Orange...maybe its the HEMI badge that makes them think its red...pretty sure we dont call blue cars purple...
It doesnt look red at night...
Maybe in the sunlight...
Nope still not seeing it...hmmm so is it just me or are they really color blind? Or possibly just drunk?

In person, I just don't see how it is possible to mistake the two.
I have seen lots of pictures though (especially small ones in sigs) that it was hard to tell the difference.
Your car looks nice though. What's up with the HEMI emblem???

Wow I really love the TTII's on your car, they look awesome...
The HEMI emblems just a joke, thats all you heard about for awile was HEMI HEMI HEMI and I got so tired of those annoying commericals, so me being a jackass and poking a little fun I had to put that on there. A few real idiots here in town think I have a Hemi in my car...haha its been good for several laughs thats for sure.
And you are totally right, Ive seen some pictures where I couldnt tell if a car was red or h.o. its not the easiest color to get good pictures of...

I posted a pic somewhere around here of a red and HO side by side last week. They are not even close.
And Arias is building hemi heads for the BBC so I would think the LSX won't be far behind! Who will have the first hemi powered catfiSSh???

Very nice looking car, my intake gets painted this upcoming week (orange). I have a few people saying it looks red, mostly in certain pics, never really in person. I also hear (and have seen) two diff colors of the hugger orange (same paint code) just some have more red than others. Both factory paint jobs etc.. Not sure the deal but one is more red and the other looks like yours, mine and most other HO cars i've seen.

I have to admit--when I saw your under-hood shot in a different thread, I assumed it was a red car. The IM looks red to me in that shot as well. Whoops
There is at least one HOSS around town that I've seen and you can tell they're orange in person though.

Hugger Orange is pretty close to a red. It is a fairly dark orange.
A friend of mine has a 67 Camaro that is a very deep red. he parked it next to another guy's bright red 64 GTO. The Camaro almost looked maroon and the GTO looked orange. But if you saw either car by itself you would just think, ahh a red car.
As stated earlier, the 69 Pontiac Judge color was called Carousel Red.
