Question Hotter or Colder T-Stat ??

The car I just got has a 160 degree Thermostat...
and the fans are set to come on at 170 or 175...

The never reaches The Halfway Mark (185) between 160 and 210
It gets halfway between 160 and 185.

Is this bad?
Use more gas?
Faster? Slower?

Thanks Guys.

sounds good on the 160 degree thermostat choice. Car will make more power at a cooler temp if the tune is adjusted accordingly. Mileage is close, I've never done a comparo.
