No they don't dyno every motor and since you have modded yours you will never know if it was a factory freak or not. But who cares it is faster now..

i have a muscle mustangs and fast fords magazine that tested the " at the time" new "bullitt" edition mustang. they have a small section dedicated to an 02 SS that ran 12.89 in 90+ degree heat and an almost full tank of gas.............

so i'm sure there are a few cars here and there that may run better than most.

Unless you dynoed your car bone stock, you' ll never really know, unless you race a car with identical mods, and it still seems a little stronger. There wouldn' t be anything documented about your car being a little stronger or weaker than the car in front or behind yours on the line when it was built.

Are you sure it was an 02 SS? I only ask, because when the above article was released, it also found it' s way into MM&FF, but it was a 98 Z28. The reason for that, is GMHTP is a sister publication for MM&FF, and they use the same drivers.

did you dyno it while it was stock? did you run it at the dragstrip while it was stock? That's basically the only way of knowing ....

I want to every person that has ever asked this type of question...

"Factory freaks" are simply cars that for some reason or another make more power STOCK for stock. This is caused by better flowing heads, one-off fluke tunes, and other minor irregularities... So unless you plan on keeping your car stock and only racing other stock cars, it doesn't matter, not one bit.

And if your car is modified, whether it be a lid or an exhaust, you've voided the clauses of the definition, and are no longer allowed to use that term.
