i have a muscle mustangs and fast fords magazine that tested the " at the time" new "bullitt" edition mustang. they have a small section dedicated to an 02 SS that ran 12.89 in 90+ degree heat and an almost full tank of gas.............
so i'm sure there are a few cars here and there that may run better than most.

Unless you dynoed your car bone stock, you' ll never really know, unless you race a car with identical mods, and it still seems a little stronger. There wouldn' t be anything documented about your car being a little stronger or weaker than the car in front or behind yours on the line when it was built.
Are you sure it was an 02 SS? I only ask, because when the above article was released, it also found it' s way into MM&FF, but it was a 98 Z28. The reason for that, is GMHTP is a sister publication for MM&FF, and they use the same drivers.

I want to
every person that has ever asked this type of question...
"Factory freaks" are simply cars that for some reason or another make more power STOCK for stock. This is caused by better flowing heads, one-off fluke tunes, and other minor irregularities... So unless you plan on keeping your car stock and only racing other stock cars, it doesn't matter, not one bit.
And if your car is modified, whether it be a lid or an exhaust, you've voided the clauses of the definition, and are no longer allowed to use that term.

How about this one? Bone stock my 98 WS6 with 77,xxx miles put 320 hp and 336 tq to the tires. 98's are only supposed to have 320 out of the motor. And yes I know that they were underated but show me another 98 with those #'s!
