Behind the black plastic grille is asically another grille (so to speak) painted the same color as the car.
Yes, you can remove it w/o taking the whole front of the car off. It is held on by tabs. I believe it just pulls off. But I have a T/A. What do I know?

Yes, I took mine off more then a month ago and its fine with NO DAMAGE done. It's another grill, like MOBE said, its the same color of your car and it spells out CAMARO.

We took off my friends grille off of his black Z28 and it wasn't any problem...just take some tin cutters, one that look like scissors and cutout the little tabs off the black plastic grill...but be careful and take your time.....Behind it will be another grille that has camaro etched on it.....we replaced the black grille with a stull billet grille!!!
