I need to know the weight of my car for testing purposes. I have been using 4k something pounds, becaus ta is what the door says, so what is it. My car is a 2001 SS Camaro A4.

Well I'm a fat ***!!! Just joking, I weigh 170lbs, and 3700+170=3870lbs is that good.

I doubt your car weighs over 3600lbs probably more like 3550. People over estimate the weights of these cars alot.

Thats because everyone goes by the weight on the door. The weight posted on the door is with the maximum load included. That means, to get the bare vehicle weight, you take the gross vehicle weight posted on the door, and subtract that maxium capacity weight (usually around 600lbs and posted near the gross vehicle weight) from that number. I used to think my car weighed 4,000lbs until someone explained it to me.

My Z was 3540 with me in it, and I weight 240lbs.

All three of my Camaros (two A4 Z28s and one SS M6) have weighed about 3360-3400 with very little gas in the tank.

The last time I had the chance to weigh my 2001 SS (M6) at the track it weighed 3415lbs with no backseats, spare, me, and it had very little gas.

Keep in mind that the race track scales probably never get calibrated.

The curb weight of my 2002 WS6 A4 is 3319, whatever that means.

If you open the driver door and look @ the factory sticker It will tell you how much it weighed when it left the factory. I hope its not true though cause mine says 4250lbs. I'm going to go to the city dump and drive across the scales to see if its true. if so my car is going to go on the adkins diet.

Here is a simple way to accurately find out how much your car weighs. GO TO A FREAKING TRUCK STOP WITH A SCALE!!!!
I weighed my car on a Cat Scale at the TA truck stop. Its accurate as hell and is calibrated alot. Total Cost $7.
Pull on the first platform all the way at the front of the scale. Hit the intercom button, tell them its for a vehicle weight. Then go park and get your ticket. If they dont have an intercom, go inside first and tell them what your doing. Some scales have either a green light, or use a CB radio to communicate with the scale customers.

Easy as hell, and very accurate.

I use ag scales around here, they get calibrated once in a while, plus they leave them on at night. My 2K Z weighted 3480 bone stock with a full tank and no one in it.

mine weighed 3480 with 1/2 tank of gas, no driver at the DMV scales.

Passenger weight should be 710#, and then subtact that from sticker weight and then minus a few more. I weighed mine at scales...mods in sig, full interior, minus spare tire, but with a full 10#bottle and I do leave the jack in there. Car as raced, with stock wheels and DR's. 3/8ths tank of gas and it was 3400,
