lol at the POS part.
No offense taken. It was a POS when I first got it, and honestly it still is haha. The only thing good about it IMO is the driveline. I haven't really done anything to the body other than SOME appearance mods to make it stand out more. And thank you for the kind words. I am a very dedicated person when it comes to setting my mind to do something. I have been so many directions with this car already, I'm starting to wonder now just how far it's going to end up going. lol
Well thanks again...

Thank You Guys!
I have plans on upgrading the exhaust to 1 7/8" LT Headers, all new front tubular suspension, Vengeance Racing ported FAST 92mm Intake. (I'm selling mine to my brother and going to buy a new 1 from Ron), some 15x4 front Prostars, relocating the battery to the trunk, Relocating the coils into the car- under the dash, removing the passenger side airbag, putting a new LT1 Radiator in it (the core is bigger and cools better), and just tie up all the loose ends. I have plans on going with a Midwest Chassis Fab-9 Rearend here in the near future. I'm just trying to pay off a few bills I owe and then go from there. Money is getting tighter by the day lol.

Eventually (OR) IF I decide to go all out, I'll be going with a TH400 Transmission, and an ls3 427 CID Stroker Motor with TFS 235cc Heads in it. And go with a Victor Jr. Style Single Plane Intake Manifold with a accufab style TB.

Man if you went with a th400 you will kill the streetability but you will love it at the track. it would pick up a sec easy.

Yeah I have been thinking about it alot here lately, But like I said I wanna try out the 4L60E 1 more time and if it doesn't hold up Then I'm going to the TH400. I really like the streetability with the 4L60E and don't really want to sacrifice streetability right now, simply b/c the car isn't track legal for 9.99 and faster yet. So I think it would be pointless to sacrifice streetability to take it to the track and get kicked out lol. But once everything else is done (track legal for 9.99), That's the route I'm gonna take it. I would really like to see the car running 9's NA but IDK how achievable that will be with my setup.
I'm gonna try to set the car up for the track this year. And that way it will be a street/strip car that I can enjoy!

I'm just hoping to run HALF as good as you did last year JR!

If you are going 4l60, you better get a RPM level 4 or 5. They can build them as strong as you want. Both of there vette's running mid to high 9's have a 4l60e.

It's the tuning that has to be on to get them bitches to shift right. I've seen several people deal with that problem for a while until someone could get it right.

The 4l60 will come with a high price tag if it is going to last more than a year. My coan th400 was $900+converter+shifter+shield+cooler. Well the converter and cooler came with the car. So I got lucky there.

Yeah I know RPM builds some quality transmissions that will hold alot of power. But for the cost of an RPM Built 4l60e I can have a BUILT th400, converter, cooler, shifter, and etc. that would hold the power FOR SURE. It sucks though b/c I already dropped alot of cash when I got the 4l6oe built last spring, so now I'm just gonna see if it will hold up next year. I found out that the only thing that broke was the 3-4 input drum and a check ball went through the seperator plate in 1 spot. If it holds up 1 more season GREAT, Then I may just pull the driveline out next winter and do the 427/TH400/9 Inch Build that I've been wanting to do for so long.

I have a friend who wants the engine, but he wants to do his 9 inch and th400 first before he buys it. And I told him that was cool b/c I want to run it again next year to see how far into the 10's I can get it NA. So it may just all work out in the end after-all.

Either way, I'm very happy with the car as it sits. And it should continue to get faster as I mod it next year.
We'll just see though.

And I wonder just how much time I'd pick up if I did do the th400 as opposed to the 4l60e? I hear the main problem is the big drop from 1st to 2nd gear in the 4l60e is what kills the powerband in the 1/4mile ??? I guess it's steep 1st gear gets it going out of the hole and then it just kinda drags in 2nd to pick back up? Is that true? Just wondering!

Due to other priorities at the moment, I don't plan on working on the car again until probably February sometime. So I won't have any pics or new things added to the car til then. I'll post pics and new mods as I get them. Thanks to those of you who have been watching and reading my Build Thread!

Well I got a new UMI Tubular K-Member for my car this x-mas and decided to pull the engine and clean everything up a little bit. Also decided to rewrap the entire body harness with Fresh Black tape and relocated all of the grounds. I painted the engine Black, and I'll be touching up the engine bay next. Not to mention, I'll be painting over the HVAC delete panel and painting the rack-n-pinion too! Gonna try to keep it ALL Black under the hood! I'm planning on getting a battery relocation kit soon and I'll be tackling that while the engine is out. If money permits, I'll be adding the Lower A-Arms, Front Strange Struts, Upper A-Arms, Springs (275#), and a few other things. Here are some up to date pics. Will add more as I work on the car.

LOL... Yeah it's too cold for me to finish mine. I have a salamander but the garage isn't vented so it gets to many fumes in there and gives me a headache after too long.

Hoping to just save for a couple more months, and then go out and finish it up enough to drive by the end of April sometime.

My work slowed WAY down here lately and so I haven't had the extra $ to get the stuff I wanted. It sucks but hey- I got all this summer to save and see what I get from being patient I guess! My plans are still the same. But the 9 Inch is my Top Priority!

Good Luck with yours man!
Hope it turns out well for ya!

LOL, Yeah well I would much rather make it fast and ugly than slow and pretty.
IMO, I really don't care about how a car looks as long as it performs.

In this case, It performs just fine!

As for the hood; I didn't really like it at first, But honestly it grew on me & NOW I LOVE IT!!!
Plus I get ALOT of compliments on it. (I guess it's a love/hate kinda hood)

Quick Update on my car!!!

Ordered some more goodies...

-TSP 1 7/8" Longtubes & TSP ORY Pipe (Not sure if I'm putting the LM1 on it or just keeping my TSP True Duals just yet) I'm a little haha

-Also sent my Yank SS4000 back to Yank for a cut and clean.
-The Transmission is Rebuilt and ready to go....
-I'm ordering all of my gaskets I need to put the engine back together this week. (The intake and accessories are off)
-Getting a new Trans Cooler this week also, since my tranny went back in October!
*(Had metal in the lines and had to flush everything out)
-I also have a Line Lock going on the car now.
-I deleted the Front Sway Bar Brackets, Pass. Side Air Bag, STB, ABS System, and also the seats. I'm Trying to make it as light as I can on a budget.
-I'm Mounting the Battery in the rear
- I'm gonna put the 15x10 Pro Stars on the rear for this season, and I Plan on buying 2 15x4/4.5 for the front as well. I got a really good deal on the rear pro stars and 27x10.5x15 MT ET Streets...
I'm actually going to buy some 295/55/15 MT ET Street Radials for the street... And only run the ET Streets at the track.

*I still need to order my Dual Walbro 255lph fuel Pump kit and all the extras to go with it. (The Wiring Kit and the other stuff!)
And still need to look into getting all of the fittings to do the ABS Delete and Line Lock Kit Install!
As well as Get it Tuned when It's all done... I'm Planning on going to Mike Norris for the tune!

UPDATE: I placed my order with Eric at MWC for my new FAB 9" today!
*3-17-10

So the final story on the rearend is this...
MWC Fab 9" (Stock Length), Detroit Locker Differential, Richmond 3.70 gears, Strange 35 Spline Rear Axles, Aluminum Center Section and Pro Gear Pinnion Support, Back Brace, Black Powdercoating, Short (Chassis Mounted) Torque Arm w/DS Loop, Strange Rear Race Brakes.

I still need to order my Strange Chromemoly Driveshaft and Rear Anti-Roll Bar (Drag Bar)... But I ran out of $ lol!
So I will have to get the other stuff later. And I decided I AM GOING WITH THE FAST 102/102 FOR SURE!!!

Yeah I'm moving right along huh!
I was kinda wondering if I was ever going to get all my parts with how slow my work got this winter. Hell January hit, And I have been SLAMMED like a Mother Fu(ker.
And as for the list I made before winter, I almost have everything from the list. So I guess I'm doing pretty good huh?
Hows the mustang coming along? I see you were trying to sell the Z! You ever get any interest? Or sell it? When are you planning on having the car out? I'm ready to hit the track with my lil racing buddy! lol
