Once again, billy, me and you seem to think a lot alike. We pretty much agree on cams (lobe center angles), and timing, at least on carbureted LS engines, and now on intakes. I wish Edelbrock would build an RPM intake for the L92 heads. In my opinion, the RPM style is one of the best intakes they ever built. It usually makes more torque and horsepower then a single plane EVERYWARE below 6500 RPM, and is a better choice IMHO for a street car or a heavy drag car. How much time are you actually above 6500? They make one that works very well on big blocks,so I would like to see them make one for the L92 heads. Just my .02 cents worth. Ron
Edit: I guess I'm going to have to change this to include this...
I don't run Nitrous, but my friends who do tell me that Nitrous doesn't work very well on a dual plane intake because of distribution problems, so if you're going to run Nitrous, I guess you're better off with a single plane intake.

Keep it going, billy! For what it is, that car is awesome! I log on every Sunday just to check on your thread. Did you ever make it to the dyno? I know you talked about it at one time. Ron

Nice runs man! I hope mine mustang performs as good as your LQ. Thanks for tips and advice! I'm copying yoursetup with a few other "tweaks" to hopefully meet or beat your numbers! If I can nail a 6.70 on motor, I'll be STOKED!

Hey, billy.... I'm really missing the reports on the "ol Buick". That was my
"fix" for the week and it kept me hammering away on my ride. I guess I can understand it though, as long as the fish are biting, LOL. Hope to see you back at it SOON! Ron

update....my mustang is almost finished and hopefuly i will be making some pass's in it by the weekend....just got back from weighing the car today and like i hoped the mustang weighed 2380 lbs and that was one of the reasons i switched to a mustang the other being aerodynamic....and the car still has heat windshield wipers stock dash and two front seats ....i about fell over when i got my weight ticket....but i havent put my 6 point roll bar or carpet in it yet,but thats still a great improvement over me regals 2940 lb weight.....ill let you know how much it picks up......

Could you please post some pics of the car, build? and tell me what headers did you end up using? I have a 93 Notch that's just sitting at the moment but hopefully at the beginning of next year the project will start. stock LQ4 shortblock with ARP rod bolts, unported L92 heads milled, thin cometic HG's, custom cam from Bret Bauer 7.2K rpms, GMPP single plane intake, 850 carb, 1 7/8" ???headers, Ford C4 with 4500 converter and 4.10 gears with fully adjustable suspension. I'm looking to run low 10's on DR's with a street driven notch.
