Default Another turbo 5.3L fox notch drag car

here is what im working on. 90 coupe was a 2.3 auto. putting an '03 5.3L truck motor, vic jr intake with 90mm elbow, garrett 76mm, 60lbs injectors, megasquirt ms2 version 3.0 board, 540/232/114 cam, ls6 yellow springs(will most likely up grade those) qa1 tubular k and a arms, made my own motor mounts and trans cross member & sub frame connectors, th400 with t-brake, 3500 stall tc, 8.8 rear end with 3.73s and 33 spline strange spool/axles, apr anti roll bar. getting ready to start building the cage 4130 1 5/8. here is a few pics of what i have done so far.

they are the stock truck manifolds and i made a stainless y pipe to the turbo flange. and thanks

Have you run Megasquirt before? Its supposed to be the cats behind for diy fuel injection.

yes we have run a bunch of ms units about 15 or so now that we have installed on just about everything, from a 1981 vw rabbit pick up truck that runs 11.75@117mph on a stock 2.0L block and an 8 valve head @19psi to a lexus 4.0L 32v v8 in my off road prerunner ford ranger. its the best bang for the buck in efi hands down.

I am also running Megasquirt on my 55 chevy with a 5.3 liter Vortec motor mostly stock with cam and valvesprings. I even know this clown... LOL Maybe he will help me turbocharge my car someday... wife permitting.

been a while since i have post anything about my swap. got the trans built and bolted up to the motor and installed back in the car. installed patriot gold springs. just need to do cage, plumb and wire/tune it.

I was wondering what you were doing about your interior wiring. Are you still going to use the factory ign switch? What about headlights and all that good stuff? You just going to have someone do you a whole new fuse box and wiring?

I'm just wondering bc I'm removing wires out of the stock harness. As I just want the basics to work so everything else will be coming out.

was planning on using a few of the factory switches but the car is getting totally rewired with new fuse block etc.

A little update a year later... been working on this project again its getting fairly close. hope to have it running in the next few weeks. Heres a few pics. mainly have wiring left to do.
