My 92 LSx Swap...
Well, I started a thread on my local forum back in september of last year. Figured I'd post up everything I've got so far on here now that its getting closer to being finished.
I bought this car from someone that had started doing the swap, but found another project they wanted so they sold it to me dirt cheap! Paid $1000 bucks for it!!!
It already had aje crossmember and a built rear.(31 spline strange, 4:10's, c-clip eliminators, lakewood uppers and lowers)
Also came with rodlites w/ skinnys and slicks.
Little blurry...

First thing I did was order all my fuel system.
Bought a 15gallon fuel cell w/sending unit from jegs and all the AN fitting and lines.
Then I bought an external walbro 255.
Now on to the install...
I didn't like the way the fuel cell sat in the spare tire well, so I made a box to put it in...

Next, I bought a set of headers from a fellow ls1techian, and then started working on getting the Loooonnnggg assss 4l80e's crossmember.
The headers
Heres the issue I had, There was no way in hell the 4L80 was gonna work with the stock crossmember location.
So i made some templates from cardboard, transfered them into AutoCAD and had them cut out at work.

Now I'm working on the motor.
I just order the rest of the parts to rebuild it.
It'll be a stock cubic in 5.7 with ls6 heads and intake with a ms4 cam.
I will also be ordering a 4k stall from Circle D next week along with all my gauges. I've already ordered a dash plate from mc-machine, should be here next week.

Just a little update!
The circle d stall should be here by friday, I dropped the bare block off at the machine shop yesterday to get dipped and have the cam bearings replaced. Also dropped the 4L80 off to get rebuilt.
Soooooo...hopefully this weekend i'll be busy getting everything put back together.

Yup, the 4l80 fit pretty damn nice. I am going to have to do some smashing on the tunnel to get the main plug to fit, but other then that its like it was meant to be, lol.
I'm using an 02 Camaro computer with the 4l80e program flashed onto it.

Well...
My goal last weekend was to get the motor together, in the car, and started up...
I picked up my block from the machine shop on saturday, get home and find out they put the cam bearings in the wrong order!! I couldn't get the block back to them till monday. Going to pick the block up again this saturday.
So i'm gonna try to get everything together again this weekend. Hopefully all goes well.

Thanks for all the compliments guys.
I got everything together and was ready to start. Had everything hooked up, fuel, harness everything. Went to put the starter on and dropped the bastard. It landed right on the main terminal and broke the plastic cap to ****!!!
So being that a new starter is $175, it'll be a few day for me to come up with the cash. Man I was pissed!
