Just make sure you take care of the leaky brakes on the rear of that thing. I would hate to have to have you sell it to me for a mere $50 dollars after you wrecked it because you had no brakes.

Oh yea! The leaks been fixed. The rear end has c-clip eliminators, so it was actually gear lube that was leaking. But its taken care of already.

I got the motor/trans in the car, and wired everything up. Got the fuel lines ran as well. But i'm having issues with the dynatech headers and the steering shaft.

But now i've run into an issue with the headers hitting the steering column. Trying to get it sorted out.

Well, just a little update. Not much has changed. I'm waiting on my revised header to get back from the ceramic coaters and i'll get that back on.
Things have been really slow at work lately so they've been cutting hours, so no extra dinero right now. but hopefully things will get back on track and i can this thing on the raods soon

Where did you get that throttle cable? And did you run your ingition power off the starter solenoid like ford originally did?

Throttle cable is made by Lokar. Jegs and summit has them.

No, I ditched the ford solenoid. I just spliced into a wire under the dash that came on with the key in the "start" position. Ran that wire to the solenoid on the LS1 starter. Works like a charm.

OVER A YEAR LATER!!!
She's still not on the road,
But its awful close!

Only thing I have left is to finish up the radiator/fans, bolt up the torque converter, and buy gauges!!
Trying to scrouge(sp?) up $700 for gauges is my next hurdle.

I've order the gauges and am in the process of wiring them up. Man, its a huge pain in the ***!!
Fans are wired, Torque converter bolted up!! Getting closer.
I also order a set of Hooker Aero Chambers. Next will be exhaust!

I also just ordered everything to hook up my power-steering.
Here's a part list if anyone's interested:
135-RP1300 - This is a flow control valve, it knocks down the pressure from the GM pump to what the ford steering rack needs.
You will need a 16mX1.5 and a 14mmX1.5 fitting for the ford power-steering rack.
Then of coarse AN fittings and Hose approved for power-steering use.
Cost me about $120 shipped for everything.

Once the power steering is hooked up, and the gauges wired...fingers crossed....I should be able to take it on a test drive!

Here's all the goodies for the power-steering!

You have to remove this from the pump (7/8")

Here's a picture of the old and new fittings

The new fitting installed

This is the first time I've ever made hoses with the plastic in the center...
Well long story short.. I messed up the thread on one of the fittings. Have to wait till next week and order a new one.
