Default URGENT : i have a LS (lq4 6.0 ) flexplate bolt question

ok i have a TCI flexplate P/N 399753 and ARP FLEXPLATE bolts .. P/N 244-2901 just like summit website say's to use ..well they are too short ..
the under the bolt measurement is .880 .. the factory flexplate bolts are 1.100 and the TCI flexplate is also much thicker at .340 and factory flexplate being .140 ... now the LQ4 also has a crank spacer from the factory
question is ..what did you guy's use for flexplate bolts ?

I used the ones that came with the TCI flexplate.

These are the GM numbers I have used to order the longer bolts:

Crank bolts GM (6) P/N: 12553332 $2.52 each.

# 11569956 is the newest part number

I had to use the same GM part numbers for my longer bolts. I think that the part numbers are for a caddy cts crank bolt. I maybe wrong though.

i took the.400 spacer off and mounted up the flexplate looks like it will work .. just have to make sure it's not going to pull the converter out of the trans.

to use the spacer the corresponding bolts from ARP that you need will be for a manual flywheel. That is what I run don't have the part # handy but the center of a manual flywheel is the same thickness as a spacer and flex plate

Hi guys,

I just bought my LQ4 used and it will go into my 1988 5.0 mustang hatch with a powerglide tranny soon. I am going to buy a aluminum flywheelf from summit. Dont I need some kind of spacer etc for the torque converter to work right? Where do I get one? How much are they?

Thanks guys, I am brand new to LS motors and older trannys mated to it, like the power glide. Also I know if I use a turbo 350 style hardened input shaft for the glide I can use a lot more popular torque converters made for the Turbo 350 & 400 right? Again sorry about all the newb questions.

Hey guys, forgot to mention there is no spacer or anything on the back of my LQ4. Just the end of the crank flush with the block looks like a flexplate flange with drilled holes to mount a flexplate directly.

A guy on here said you dont need the spacer kit with the LQ4 that came with the 4L80 trans, it has the correct spacer already! I got one, and it seems to be the right thing to bolt to the 350trans.
