Question Swap header for a 71 Chevy truck??

I have a 5.3 in my 71 chevy truck. I tried using 98 f body manifolds. The drivers side fits great but not the passenger side. Are there any swap headers or shorty truck headers that will work??? I have stock 71 chevy frame stands and mounts with trans dapt swap plates. Thanks!

You should check with Schoenfeld, I bought some for my 95 silverado LSX swap. http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/LS1-TRUCK.htm I know yours is a 71 model but they might sell them, worth a shot to call them up.

I used a set of the cheapo f-body stainless headers on mine. All the pimaries cleared fine, I did pie cut the collectors and bend them in/reweld to get the to clear the framerails. I am using stock frame mounts with the trans dapt plates as well.

For long tube headers Doug Thorley all the way, they were developed with help from some guys from 67-72chevytrucks.com specifically for these swaps. I've seen alot of pics and they fit like butter!

For stock, use TBSS manifolds. I have a set of GTO manifolds that appear to fit, and I've heard C6 might fit too. But the TBSS are cheap and fit well.

Hooker block huggers fit good if you dont have to have long tubes and they are pretty cheap on ebay.
