Default Help with Fuel System design...

I am in the process of putting together an LQ4 swap into a 64 Nova.

Are there any good resources for choosing parts for the fuel system components? Like what size fuel line, etc?

I am thinking of running a carb first, but want flexibility to convert to EFI at a later date. Any suggestions on the best way to do that?

Give this a shot. Change out the fuel tank sender fittings to match your application and this becomes universal

Pocket, forgive my NOOBness, but where would the inline pump go in that diagram?
Thanks

Keep in mind that you will probably want much less fuel pressure than what the corvette filter/reg will let through. Also, depending upon your power goals you might want to step up to a -8AN line (for 500HP+).

Carb vs LSx EFI fuel systems are completely different. Carb is low pressure large diameter designed to pump a large volume of fuel and return the unused portion. LSx is high pressure smaller diameter to send a very consistent high pressure system that uses fuel as it's required

Theres no way to build a carb swap with the C5 regulator

What I was thinking is Tanks Inc. in-tank pump, with an inline filter and a regulator from Aeromotive that has swappable springs to change from adjustable 3-20 psi (for carb) and 20-65psi (for EFI)

If I did that then all I would have to do would be to swap the spring in the regulator, and I could use the same setup right?

If you are going with a carb you can just use a in-line pump such as a Holley Blue pump and be adequate for the bare minimum. A carb'd LS/Vortec is no different than the SBC style electric fuel pump requirements. For line, 3/8" or -6AN is usually enough for a stock displacement engine that is naturally aspirated.

The Tanks Inc setup sounds good if it is dual purpose capable (carb/EFI), I'm not that familiar with it. Seems it will be returning a ton of unused fuel to the tank if you use a EFI pump at carb fuel pressure.
