Here is what ive put together parts wise and questions that I couldnt find after reading and reading and reading and searching. If you think anything needs to be added please add it and comment on anything. This is a budget build in a home garage and possibly a shop so Ill have a good amount of tools and help. Thanks, ive answered about 500 questions by reading the stickies and searching.

I'd budget more for brakes. You gonna want sn95 booster and m/c. You can find them cheap used but I've never liked used brake parts. My brake swap cost me about $500 with all new ss brake lines and hose and pbr front brakes. Would have been more but I got the hoses and complete front brakes half price.

I found the answer for the first question about the security system, tune or use a little box to get rid of the VATS.

Well, if you can get a harness for less than $250, then buying one and sending it to them would be the way to go. If not, then I'd just buy from him. My LS1 came complete with a harness, so obviously I'm sending mine to him here in the near future.

Heres my stock harness from an 04 GTO.
Heres some pics of it when i got it back from speartech. They did a great job at labeling everything and it came with some detailed instructions on what to wire up and how.
Heres a close up of all the wires that went inside the car along with the pcm connectors. I was told the GTO harness was a bit longer than most so i hav plenty of room to mount it inside my mustang.
Speartech can do the VATS disabling but if you are doing any internal mods to the engine see if your tuner can do it and include it in the charge when you get the car tuned. It may end up being a little cheaper than way. Any tuner can disable VATS.

Awesoem thanks a ton guys that wiring post is a huge help. I had found them a while back while researching and fully planned on having them rework a harness. Great to hear good feedback. And yes, I plan to do a big cam and ls6 intake and kooks long tubes while its out i figure it be easier.
Another question- Seen a few things about pedals. If i get a 6 speed fbody pedal assembly is that easier to use? ANd would I have to modify the stock master? My buddy who did an LS1 RX7 purchased a wilwood master to use without modding since it had a shorter shaft.

You could also use the Mcleod kit.

It's a little pricey, but it's an option.
I'm also in the planning stage of my 94 Mustang Lsx/T56 swap. I can't wait to get started, I should be picking up an Lq4 in a few weeks when the tax return arrives.

I was talking to a friend of mine today about doing a LS swap into a notch back.
I think it would be a pretty damn sweet setup. I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon reading the swap threads.

Heres another write up about swapping in a fox. The clutch isnt very hard especially if you have a welder. I mainly opted for an A4 after reading this because I didnt want someone else doing work on my car and i didnt want to have to have the car towed to a shop while i sit there and explain to them what needs to be done. I have a write up going on on here that should be updated todat or tomorrow. I hoping to fire up the car for the first time this weekend.
