Default Project "White Lightning"

This..

Going in this..

It came with most of the parts, just needs a couple of things.

The 346 LS1 with the Heads was $600, the truck rolling chassis was $500. It has stock 3.42 Gears, I'm putting in a Torsen out of a 2002 F-body to make it more fun. It's getting a 4L60E, Corvette 2250 Stall, 2.5" Drop, Ladder Bars to help..I'm doing the Wiring and Tuning. Headers & mounts are coming from Carshopinc, I've been searching for the parts I need to get the LS1 back up and complete..I have a good bit of stuf layin around already.
The LS1 will be stock with the Headers, 2.5" Duals dumped infront of the Axle..it should move it out pretty well..weight should be under 2800lbs..

I dont have a LS1 Oil Pan..I just have the longblock without accessories..I'm getting the GM Muscle Car Pan to fit this.

The S10 and the G-body cars have the same front suspension/cradle setup..so pretty much what I did to the MCSS will be the same here..

I meant Cal Trac Bars..

Here's a parts list that I've been putting together so far besides the stuff that I've gotten off of here in the classifieds and what I've had laying around..

Cal Trac Bars
Headers
Exhaust

I'll get Mufflers for it and have it fabbed up to the Collectors. Radiator & Fans will be LT1 F-body..aswell as the Fuse Box. I'm going to wire it simple. I'm still looking into the suspension setup to lower it and have it work good.

If anyone has an idea of Disc Brakes that will fit on the rear then chime in..I'm looking to upgrade them..aswell as the front.

Lot of work for that..I'm tryin to go budget here and have it actually perform.

I got ahold of a set of 2" Drop Spindles for $100..prob go with that and get slotted Rotors eventually..have to see how it does with the stock stuff & new pads.

Go with the blazer rear discs. Better yet you could do a blazer rear swap and can put the blazer sway bar back there as well.

If you don't want to do that you can always do this upgrade

I guess I can't really talk either... I have one friend and his girl who asks "why do I insist on having so many cars with the same engine?" I reply "they aren't all the same engine, just same engine family." Of course they are completely lost.

That's why I just call what's in the MCSS a LS1..I got tired of explaining to people how it's a 408..

I read that Disc Brake install thread..what a pain in the ***..lol..

I'll have to look into it, the Rear is going to be a Torsen out of a 2002 WS6..along with the 28 Spline Axles. I'll cut them to fit if I have to..

Parts are coming in and I'm about to start assembly.. all I need is an Alternator, Radiator, Fans, and little **** to get it running. I need Radiator Hoses, Heater Hoses, need interior stuff still, and a 4L60E & Vette Stall..I'm buying a 2002 LS1 F-body Rear for $230 to toss in it so it has Posi..

Here is the Shortblock prepped for assembly..I bought a Z06 Hotcam for it..218/228, .550/.550, 112LSA..

It's going to be a fast little ****..
