I got my rear from a salvage yard apparently was a 02 s10 blazer 8.5 rear. I got ebay d/s rotors and use duralast gold pads with stock calipers front and back and it stops pretty good for my truck.
That muscle pan you have, you used the same pan for your mcss? how was fitment on that?

I'm goin with the stock 7.5"..I see it holding up fine..I'm keeping the drum setup on it.
Yea I used that on the MCSS, it fit very well. It hangs below the Cradle about 1.5" at most..I havent had a problem with it, clears the Cradle prefectly.
Fortunately someone already notched the Cradle on this truck..I dont think it'll need it, but I'm not complaining for the freebie.
The guy I bought it from wanted to do a V8 swap in it, just never got around to it. Part of the reason why the original HVAC was removed..

Here is the Rear Axle bolted in with the CalTrac Race Suspension & 2" Drop Blocks..
To put on the Load Bars I have to wait till the Truck is fully setup and on the ground.

reminds me of my old 4x4 swapped s15 before i bought my yukon.
Lots of jam. 4x4 in the winter was awesome. 4wd burnouts in the summer.
All on stock diff's. who knew! i ran them expecting them to blow so I could convince my wife to let me do a SAS but they never did.

We lifted the Engine off of the Stand and bolted up the Flexplate..
Then bolted up the 4L60E..it has a Stock Corvette 2025 RPM Stall in it..just something small and driveable..
Then it was lifted as one assembly..
The Cab was lifted up about 5" and braced..
I took the Stock Trans Crossmember and welded a piece of steel to it for the 4L60E mount..
Then it slid right in..
The Driveshaft comes about 1.25" out of the back of the 4L60E, everything seems to fit nicely. I have to shim the mount on the Trans about 1-1.5", the Drive Shaft angle is waaaay off, and it will help with the Firewall clearance.

Yea there is a pretty decent amount of side room in there..Firewall is going to be tight, I'm shimming the Tranny Mount to make it fit better and with the proper Driveshaft Angle. I have to replace all of the Body Bushings before I bring the Cab back down, they all blew apart as soon as I hit them with the Airgun. Front wise it's not that bad either..it'll be a tight fit with a LT1 Radiator & Fans, but I see it being doable.

Me and some friends dropped the Cab back on the Frame. As it sits right now the back of the passengers Head is about .25" from the Heater Box. I'm going to get up in there and grind the corner tab off the Head and smooth it out flush..that will give me atleast .5" clearance at the lowest point. From what it looks like the divot in the box will help with the Coils.
