Default 6cyl to 6.0 conversion....

would it be possible/practical to get a 6cyl fbody and try to stick a 6.0...or even a ls1 in it....or would it be a headache that I would wish i would never had tried?

it wouldnt be to hard but you pretty much need all the same stuff you would need if you were to put a ls1 in an on ls1 car.

best bet is to find a pullout with the engine, harness and computer, get as much of the parts as you can off it.

but if you dont own a f-body yet and you want a V8 then go get the V8 cause it will be cheeper than trying to buy a v6 and doing the swap

As mentioned above if you already have a V6 car or a cheap roller and can get the engine and accessories fairly cheap I would go for it. The 6.0 will fit just as well as a LS1 does but my main concern about the swap would be the money. Projects like this tend to nickel and dime you to death. So I would spend some time thinking about EVERYTHING you will need to do the swap
