I little more info or Links would be nice.. remember, you do get what you pay for.. ! If it is the GM Muscle Car pan. I'd pass.. you get a +7" rear sump.. as someone calls it.. aka.. A Skid Plate..
Might work for truck and cars that are at least stock height, Pan will hand down anyware from 1 1/2" to +2" below your crossmember, depending on how you mount the engine.
But it is a good price if it fits your application..

I would go with the Holley/Retro LSX pan. or the F-body pan if i were to do it again.

Just found it.. http://www.jegs.com/i/GM+Performance...12593/10002/-1
as I though it would be.. Muscle Car kit. I would not recommend for cars, but great for truck and great price for it. seem to have dropped about $20+ .. or so..

I'll do some more measurements tomorrow to try to see if it's possible to push the engine back farther so the rear sump would go behind the steering rack using the muscle car pan, but I doubt it.
If that doesn't work, are there any front sump oil pans that have a shorter sump (that are reasonably priced)? Is the H3 pan front or rear?
