Default Cam Options Cutlass 6.0 Swap Questions

Ok Lots of have changed so i'm bumping this and reasking a question. Here is my setup. Looking for an off the shelf cam option. Thinking MS3 but how will my PTV be with the .030 mill?

LQ4 w/ Rod Bolts and Head Studs
317's milled .030, and basic hand p&p
Hedman G-Body Headers
LS6 Intake
Ported Epoxied Stock TB
TH350 with PTC 4k stall
3.73 Gears.

What about a Torquer v2 or v4, MS3, EPS Cam?

Does anyone have a similar setup with numbers or track times?

Thanks,

As for cam selection, contact "Patrick G" on this site. He charges $25 to spec a cam for ya, but MANY MANY MANY people swear by him. He KNOWS cams.

Just make sure that you have ALL of your design/build goals clearly decided, then send him a PM. I believe that he has a form for you to fill out in advance as well.

Best of luck, and WELCOME to the site!

We use a Texas Speed TS V2 in our 71 nova. Engine is a stock 2006 LS2 (24X) with an LS6 intake and the cam. Car goes 11.26@119-MPH with 1.62 short times. Transmission is a TH350 with transbrake (those times are with the foot brake) and we have 3.91 gears in the rear (Chrysler 8 3/4 rear). Weight with driver is 3300-lbs.

Jon what size stall do you have? I'm not sure what this TCI stall even is. Doesn't really say. Just says 1500 over stock. I've been reading that the Tv2 doesn't come in until 4k or so which would create some bog with a 3k stall. So if the stall is 3k I need a cam that comes in sooner.

We are running an ATI converter, I want to say it is somewhere around 3800. Although, honestly, I think it needs to be tightened up.

I found out a buddy of mine has a cam by patrick g, his car made 42x cam only with bolt ons. I think I may go that route. Also not sure about that converter. I want more than a 3k stall. Car is a weekend only car. Street or strip.

Honestly either contact Patrick G or Geoff @ EPS for a cam specific to your configuration.
