Ls3-tci 6x e39 528 (pic heavy!!)
Thought I'd start a build thread on here as this site has been really helpful for general info so far.
So I started with this
New hart
First test fit
Made mounts and this is where it will sit
Had to massage the trans tunnel
Towed the car to my shop
And about 16 hours of work...
And that's how she sits! Pulling the mounts and headers off to make a jig so I can reproduce them, then having everything coated.
Any questions or comments are welcome!

I love this swap, it should be one hell of a ride when you are done!! I DD a 2000 323i and it is a very nice car to cruise around in......this thing ought to be a monster!!!! GL with the rest of your build and nice work so far!

How's the steering rack clearance. Reading that BMW went w/ reciprocating ball steering for the V8's due to space put me off... but now I'm thinking it's just their DOHC v8's were just too wide and a LSx would have room for R&P steering.

There's plenty of space in there, the R&P is why I chose the 6 cylinder chassis.
