So I've been finishing up some of the wiring in the engine bay and have a couple questions. The alternator I got with my accessory drive kit has 3 terminals (valeo unit). But my harness only has 1 (orange) wire run. My questions are: 1, do I need to hook up 1 or both of the extra wires, and if so which ones are what? And 2, will the alternator charge properly with only the 1 wire?
Here's some links to the parts I have.

So I'm just gonna leave it and hope it works. Lol
Here's a pic of how the tiny ebox looks with all the new wiring (messier than I'd like, but I don't have time/care to deal with it right now)

I'm just gonna leave the alt. and see how it works.
Got the o2's and wideband AFR sensor in. The oil pressure sensor that PLX uses doesn't clear the intake mani, is there another place to pull oil pressure?
Also where's the best place to get oil temp?
Ordered a trans cooler, fittings, oil separator and air filter. Once all that comes in this thing should start flying together. Get all the coolant lines run and the neutral safety wired up and it should be ready to go.

I ran only one wire to my alternator on my nissan w/LS1, been driving a year no problem, I'm sure one of the two wires turns off battery light in gauge cluster and the other just guessing idles up the engine when charging needed at idle,
I bought a auto meter oil pressure sender thread adaptor, then went to ace hardware and bought a elbow fit just fine, reading good oil pressure, I know some people tap into the oil filter housing, but I used a sikky oil pan with remote filter so no spot to drill.
I'd imagine the best place for oil temp would be at filter

Thanks.
I'm gonna do something like this for the oil pressure
And use the bung up front for oil temp.

Found places for the pressure and temp sensors
Temp sensor
Located in a bung right by the oil pump
Pressure sensor is in the stock location, just has a 45* elbow

Got a few things done yesterday. Trans cooler came in, got it plumbed with a temp sensor and everything. Got the radiator in and the stock lower hose is a perfect fit!
Here's a few pics
Got an oil separator and will install that soon, also got an air filter...

Couple questions. 1: what thread is on the vette powersteering pump? Need to have a line made. 2: do I need a reducer so I don't blow my rack like some of the ford swap guys have a problem with?
Small update
Made the fuel line
Installed the oil separator
And FINALLY got the pump locked in, the DIY's don't say to install the o-ring/gasket on the tank.... But I figured it out.

Thanks guys!
I need some electrical help. I need to wire up a neutral safety, a standard 4l80e neutral safety switch doesn't work because the shift arm out of the trans is too short.
So, use micro switches? Micro switches and a relay? I need a signal for Park, Neutral and Reverse. If someone could describe how I should do it, or a quick diagram sketch that'd be awesome.

whats up, I followed your thread on the other forum and just getting to read this to give me inspiration to get the harness modified for my ls1 into my silver e39 ... seems the f-bodys dont have the park neutral switch as the trucks do, I think they use the sensors/switches in the shifter... I was going to look at the BWM shifter schematic in a few minutes and see what it offers.... i'll post up a schematic if i can find something usefull. Gonna send you a PM too.

what application is this transmission from so i can look up the schematic and see what wires satisifies the PCM? or TCM ... I havent looked at my trans schematic, but I figure I would need a diode and relays attached to the pins between the S227 and its connector x1599 and have those lines running to a relay. I havent gotten far in my swap, I still havent pulled the motor yet.
About to go in the garage and seperate the harness loom and see which pins I can remove

I haven't even looked at wiring diagrams for the shifter yet.

the gm trans... think its similar to the 6 speeds thats behind the 6.2L denali trucks? if so I could get a schematic of that on here too.

Looking at the shift lever diagrams I might be able to use a double through relay and tap into some pins for neutral and park.... We'll see
Had this made for the PS line
Made a SS braided high pressure PS hose and got that all installed.
Got all the supplies for my air intake, even ordered some vented CF foglight covers and will use that as my cold air duct.
Got a shifter arm and bracket and will install that soon.
... Tons of little things to tie up, but SOOO close!!

Here's what my aluminum welds normally look like.
Got a bunch of little stuff made today... Time consuming.
Didn't get any work done tho, had to package the M52 for shipping.
