Its been a long process
Holy crap, this is awesome. I've had 2 IROCs and was looking for a third when I moved to Virginia Beach early this year, but didn't find one I liked. I wanted to do an LSx swap. Well...I settled for a '69 Suburban and have since dropped a LM7/4L60E in it. I still have a few things to wrap up, but it should be on the road next month.
Where is that shop at in VB? I'd like to check it out sometime, and maybe bench race a turbo setup for my Burb.

No back to back dyno pulls that i know of but me being FI it can only help. We should be doing a back to back comparison between this and the Holley intake later this year.
I do to. Once this one gets done I'll hunt for another to do with a big cube LSX.

Tubular K-member is finally in. Should have the motor to follow soon. Now debating on if I should go with drop spindles or not. Wiring harness is with BC to finish getting the Mil-Spec treatment.
Sorry for the crappy pics, my phone is on its last leg I think.

Couple things. First it saves around 25lbs off the front end. 2nd my swap motor mounts for the LSx made the motor sit uneven. So we tried to shim it and then other stuff didn't fit and... I decided to just try a tubular K-member again.

I'm starting a similar build but curious what k-member you went with? I've looked at umi, spohn, BMR, and pa racing trying to figure out which one works the best. Most of the guys on thirdgen.org seem to like the pa racing one. What's your choice and did you try/research any of the others? I've heard about the motor sitting crooked on some of them, and shimming issues with others, so just want to make sure I grab the best one I can find
Thanks man,
Billy
