1969 chevelle turbo 5.3 swap
what we have here is a 1969 chevrolet malibu p0s 307/glide car. Car needs a ton of work. However it should be fun. I am going to be swapping a 2001 lm7 with about 80k miles, and doing a ebay turbo on the cheap. Also adding 98-02 f-body disc brakes.

This is just like the Malibu I picked up last year only mine is puke green. I have got the 307 and Glide gone just trying to figure out on what I want to do for a engine/tranny and a turbo 5.3 was one of the options! You should get started on this and maybe it will help me make up my decision!! Keep us posted on here!

Great project. You should look at a few of the other turbo builds here. Tons of good information. It should draw you a pretty good map to get where you are going. Love the 69 Chevelle, tons of suspension and running gear options.

Looks like a good start to a project, my Chevelle started out as a 307 / TH350 also.. my Nova's paint looked just as bad, but after a few hours with a polisher and some rubbing compond, I got it to shine ! LOL
The body looks pretty straight, any Rust ? aournd the back window ..
Keep the posts coming.

I always liked those cars! They have so much potential for looking bad ***. I think the car is in decent shape, I've seen a lot worse brought back to life. I understand about the vinyl top too, my brothers car had one when he bought it for restoration. He had to replace the entire roof and both rear quarters. The guy charged him a **** ton of money to do it and the rear quarters were off a half inch, and while the trunk was closed the rear spoiler touched on one side and not on the other!! (68 Camaro)
