1996 Formula LT1 to LSx conversion
After having some issues the car is finally coming together so i'll post up some details.
Bought the car just over a year ago and have done a ton of work to it so here it goes.
First build-
Car was sold to me as a roller so i put my old 350 into it, ram power grip clutch, 390's, ported heads, custom cam, long tube headers, twin 52mm, elctric pump etc. Was a fun car but had a bad vibration which was later figured out to be a messed up crank from when i had it in my camaro putting spray to it so i went LSx like ive wanted to do for years.
This build-
Picked up a LS k member, steering rack and linkage from member on here and so it started.
Engine-
Stock 5.7 block
Stock crank
Ross racing pistons
Forged Eagle H-beams
Custom Cam
Comp adjustable timing set
Milled 243 heads
.650 patriot springs
Ported LS6 oil pump
American Racing long tubes
Stock intake (looking for a LS6)
Transmission-
Converted my LT1 t-56 to a LS1 t-56
LS7 clutch kit
Misc-
LT1 WS6 hood
FIPK
OE Wheels C6 Z06's
I used a diagram from Flame and looked over the thread Merv did to convert the wiring, pretty simple actually.

Well fixed my throttle problem, i am running a Non T/C cable new from gm for a 02 Z28 but i about a inch to long and had a ton of slack, i took my extra gas pedal and bent it about an inch and it works perfect.
Now i just need to clean up the wiring and get the cooling system bled and hope to have her at the exhaust shop

Started installing the SJM ABS delete and line lock kit today, i hate the lines they send to cut and flare so i replaced them with stainless braided line on both my cars, i think its a cleaner look. Luckily i i have a buddy that works at the local tube and hoses so it only cost 1/4 of a body part instead of 3/4.
Hope to have it ready to take it's first drive this weekend but not sure it that will happen with me being on call.
