Default LT to LS swap f body

Just curious if a lt (v6 or v8 ) to ls swap can be done without changing over to the ls cradle. Just trying to weigh out my options. Thanks

There are adapter mounts to bolt an LS where a SBC mount used to be. From what I've heard from others that have used them, swapping the k-member is better.

Seems like it would be easier to just use adapter plates as to swapping out the cradle. And cheaper, but the few swaps I read up on so far all used the cradle so I was curious. Just trying to keep cost and labor down.

From what I understand the adapter mouts are more of a pain than they are worth. And as for labor, FWIW, I installed my motor from the bottom, complete with intake, headers, TB, solid motor mounts, and K-member, without putting the rear wheels up, using two jack stands, an engine hoist, and a floor jack, by myself. Honestly getting the new motor in was the easiest part of the swap.

So all I would need is the cradle ? Or are there other parts involved

For mounting the engine, it's just the K-Member and motor mounts.

From what I remember everyone that use swap mounts had issues with fitment. Just find a cradle. I got my cradle for $50 wich is less then swap mounts anyway
