Default VIDEO of my LS1/T56 300zx driving and pics!

Big thanks to Paul at LS1 Excitement in Durham NC who is a friend of mine who did all the work on my car. He made the motor look like it came stock with the car and thats what I wanted! There are a handful of LSx 300s out there but as far as I can tell Im the only one that made the LS1/T56 combo fit WITHOUT cutting the firewall and pushing it back and losing all heat/ac/air. I still have all that and power steering! Enjoy!

Nice man! Good to see her up and running. Safe to assume the LS1 weighs less than the VG30?? You gonna lower her at all?

Id say ALOT less than the VG... I mean just look at how much my entire car raised! Id say my car weighs around 2850-2900lbs now.

I've always wanted a setup like that or in a 240sx. Yours came out really good, congrats!

Clean setup! How long did they take to complete the swap? What state was the car in when you dropped it off?

You need to get that thing to a weight station man, I am interested to see how many pounds it shed. Did you lose the sound deadening or anything else, or was it just the engine swap?

Well the time it took to complete is different for me bc my buddy owns the shop (he specializes in LSx swaps into almost anything) and we are going to use the car as marketing tool to promote the shop. So it was done inbetween other projects. When I dropped the car off, I drove it to him with the stock motor and 5-speed. So basically it was 100% untouched bone stock to what you see here. I bought the motor, T56 and parts as we went along as we needed them depending on where he was in the project and what was needed for the next step. I dont think I could of asked for better. The motor looks like its suppose to be there.

Didnt touch anything in the interior so no sound deadening loss.

The upper slit between the headlights does not feed the CAI. The intake actuallys hangs alot lower so the very bottom slit it actually what feeds the air.

I dunno about that. Possibly. Its just hard to have a kit for a swap that the motor doesnt really fit in the car. Youre either cutting the hood latch, the cross brace to drop it 1" or the firewall to push it back. None of which can be included in the kit. Motor mounts and trans mount possibly but really needs to be done as a turn key

but that's still 300lbs less than a TT if I remember correctly. The TT weighed in at 3419 or so depending on the options.

The LS series engines seem to fit better in most engine bays than the OEM stuff. And that makes for happy folks.
