Default another 570sx build and swap

Hello guys! I just picked up 5.3 aluminum short block and im going to rebuild it and drop itin my 92 coupe with silvia front. Car weight is 2680 lbs and im shooting for max hp and torque i can get out of this fine v8. I will be using hooker swap kit with hooker headers 1 and 3/4 inch. For beggining i will live stock diff which is 4.08 and see what kind of gas milage ill get. Other option is armada diff with z32 tt vlsd which is like 3.69.
Short block is gonna get bored and honed to 5.7 and im putting new forged pistons. Im leaving stock crank and rods. 5.3 rods looks pretty beefy i think they be fine for my power goals ( 500rwhp and 450lbs of torque ) arp rod bolts arp main harware as well as head studs. The head i want to get is one of the tsp head and cam deals. Its awsome deal to me it comes fully built for high rpms and also cnc ported under 2k. Fast intake and tb. I know its a lot of money for a guy with wife and a kid but im not in rush so it could be a year or so lol buti want it done right the first time.

Or you guys reccomend to do a cheaper build on 5.3 and just throw it in car and ride that and get 6.0 block and build that ecouse .3 displacement will defenetly put me at 500+ rwhp with similar build. Never before messed with chevy blocks coming in to it from 2.0 and 2.5 turboed nissans and kind of sick from lag and cooling issues. Im open to suggestions before i start anything.

dont think you're going to see 500rwhp on a n/a 5.7, 440-460 I'd say, I'd throw the 5.3 in and build a 408 6.0, or boost the 5.3, I made 481rwhp on my 383 ls1 which is just under 6.3L, heads/cam/intake. If I had to do it again I would have bought a LQ4 and do a 408 build on light boost, but then again I've broken 1 r200 diff and 2 axles with my setup.

I think to have the most fun a 400-420rwhp 240sx would be a better choice, but if you want to have lots of fun and headaches boosted 408 LQ4, ~650-700rwhp

I thought about installing 4.8 rotating assy in 5.3 and boosted but change my mind, to many problems to many gauges to look at while boosting lol
honestly I will be real happy with reliable daily 450 rwhp 240. with right rubber and stock gear ratio I think I'll see 10s in 1/4. Im not really building it to race it or slide it, just want something quick incase I get bored.

Nissan 240ls, have you taking your car to 1/4 run? what diff you have now? how does it handle? I hear aluminum ls1 with t56 puts 240 in 50/50 weight ratio, is that true?.

Also I noticed on my short block there is a skull and cross bones stamped into my block behind timing cover there is also two of them stamps on my crank. it's not lunati logo I know that much. Any one ever heard of it?

still using stock r200 diff with a kaaz lsd, have never put it on scales but went to a truck stop weighed in at 2563, 10.44 on nitto nt05 315/35/17, I'm probably going to ditch the independant suspension and backhalf the car so I can actually use my nitrous

Dang man! 10s not enough for you?

I have a option to get 6.0 cast iron block and sell or trade my 5.3 aluminum. What would you do if you were building again? 5.7 ALUMINUM OR 6.0 IRON? Like i said my car is not gonna see track every month maybe couple times a year. I will be running 275 40 18 or 295 35 18 max. I will be using either q45 or s15 diff after i brake my stock axels or brake the weld n my diff lol

spent too much money in the motor to not go 9's, at times I wished I would have left it stock maybe a mild cam and upgraded valvetrain,

I picked up my ls1 dirt cheap is why I'm using it, but I pretty sure if I would have picked up a 6.0 iron block and put the same amount of money into it, I would have been making way more power

I want street frendly set up so i can run street tires instead of huge drag radials. And if i can brakein to 10s i will be more then happy. Handling is more important to me then going straight going scary fast. I think i stick with 5.7 built block and TSP head and cam combo with z06 intake and tb. Or if i hit the lotto i by fast 92 im and tb
With this set up i should be at 450whp if im not mistaking.
Thank you for your input LS240.

Took the rotating assy out of my 5.3 block today luckly no spun mains or rod bearings. Right now looking for a good machine shop in Central FL. Anybody know any?
