What's the difference between the Gen 3 and Gen 4? Also why is it better to stick with the Gen 3? Thanks

Knock Sensor placement and the Cam Sensor. Gen 3 bolts directly into an LS1 Car using the LS1 Covers, Gen IV is different..need a 1X Cam Gear too.

What heads and intake are you planning on using , oem stuff. Sounds like you have a pretty big budget since its a stroker.

Not sure on intake or heads just yet but something nice. Iam getting my feet wet in the lsx world so as I find out what parts are going to go well together then I will buy accordingly. Car will probley be a few year project so the budget will be stretched over that time. I was going to do a 4v swap turbo build but with the price of mod motor stuff that went out the window and in goes the lsx.

Well with the 6.0 you have the the option to go with L92 / LS3 heads. or cathedral port , I'm a fan of the L92 heads , but big power can be made with cathedral also. Is it going to be trubo or na.

I prefer Gen IV , due its advanage you get L92 heads ,better flowing intake , bigger tb and the option 6.2 verison. But since your going to build a turbo stroker a LQ4 would probally be your best way to go. They are cheap about a 1/3 the price of a Gen IV. As far as heads go 317s are very popular with turbos . Both 317s and L92 have a chamber volume of aprrox 71cc.

I would look at what rotating assembly you are considering. Since the older and newer blocks come with different reluctor wheels your rotating assembly will determine what block you need.

Determine what rotating assembly you are going to purchase, you may find a deal on the older or newer reluctor wheel styles then find a block corresponding to your rotating assembly.
