Do yourself a favor and keep it in the tank. I used an external walbro and its the loudest thing in the truck.

I don't get why everyone talks about the corvette filter regulator when there is a regulator right on the stock fuel rail??

Get a high pressure pump (60+PSI) and install it in your tank. A pump outside the tank will have you terrified of a dentist for years because of the whine.. There are companies that offer AN fittings that go onto the stock rails to make fuel line selection easier. I have a pair of -6AN fittings but haven't bought the line for them yet.

If you are going to put aftermarket lines on this later on, change that to doing it while the engine is out of the engine bay so you can route them and secure them easier. Measure twice, then one more time, then cut once, about a foot too long!! LOL

Take your time and do a TON of research...

^^^this. He ain't lying. My truck came with an external and I can hear it from my third floor apt when it's warming up in the morning over the glass packs. Literally the worst way you can spend money other than on a mustang. But I have two tanks so it's better than buying two Waldron I guess. Your rail will have a regulator on it but you will need to run two lines. You'd an use your stock lines also. I used 6 AN lines and an Earl's rail adapter. I used a corvette filter bc I am using an F body intake/rail.

Not all fuel rail have a Regulator built into them.. if your thinking the LS1/6, etc has one. (except 97-98's). That is a Pulse Modulator and not a Regulator on the inlet of the fuel rail, which is why the Vette use the GF-822 type FPR.. and the 4th Gen F-Body is regulated at the pump/sender.

Some truck rails have regulators on them. I chose to use the f body intake setup and corvette rail. Back to the OP. PLEASE use an in tank setup.
