Can someone with this kit installed PM me? I would like to get some measurements on this kit to see if it may fit my application.

Thanks

Whats the limit for how much boost you can make with this kit? I was reading another thread that looked like 8psi max maybe?
I will but I have a long way to go on my project I'm collecting parts now . I'm not a turbo expert but I would think you could go way past 8 psi . Iv seen guys build home made systems and run 15 to 20 psi . My bottom end is built I plan on running 20 psi it's not like this kit is restrictive or of poor quality . Give on3 a call they are good guys and won't rush you off the phone .

Most certainly, we have a guy working on the site once again. Been waiting since November on a designer who ended up taking my money and never giving me a finished website. So we are back as square one and have a new guy working on it now. Hopefully up and rolling here in a month at the latest

8psi max? Thats for sure not the case, we have foxbody cars running this same design with upgraded 3.5" downpipes in the upper 800's. There is no reason this design with the right turbo and supporting mods will make 900-1000 wheel.

Not at this time but Im sure at some point we may revisit the design. It just cost so much more and most guys are able to support the power they are looking for on a single.

JGcoupe: Looking really good, have you started to test fit up the intercooler tubing yet? Looks like the same kit is going to work on cars at least up to 98 and possibly 04 even. Very cool

Possible to make 1000 hp with your single kit?

There is some fitment issues with the intercooler piping when I tried a rough mock up so I've been tossing the idea of going straight to the TB for now.

1. I need to re-route the power steering lines that go through the rad support. (minor)
2. I'm running the pro flo/90mm so the piping originally sent isn't made for this setup. (not on3's fault)
3. ABS is deleted already and then I had to bend the lines over to allow the pipe to pass through.
4. I think the pipe connected to the turbo outlet is too close to the cross over pipe so I might rethink the fitment or consider insulating. (to be determined)

I honestly haven't had a chance to actually mount the intercooler but hopefully work will slow down and I will post up some more pics.

With the correctly sized turbo, I dont see any reason why it wont.

Sounds good and not too drastic to make it work. Keep us informed on the headway and look forward to seeing it up and running.

What is the frame to header clearance on each side?

I am looking at using the kit on another vehicle but the frame rails are 29.5 inches between them. I hear the mustangs have 31 inched.

Can someone measure their kit header/collector max width.

With truck manifolds flipped down and forward, I have about 1/2 inch clearance from frame to the stock manifold 3 bolt flanges on each side.

The kit looks awesome, but how is the plug wire clearance with the downpipe?

On3,

This looks like a great kit. If you want to increase the potential for this product, I would look to see if the hot side will work on a second gen RX7. Just looking at the pictures, I see no reason why it would not. The engine bay layout is very similar as the the position of the rack, etc...

Head over to www.norotors.com and get ahold of Blake, who runs the forum. You should be able to find a few willing and reliable people to test fitment.

Here is a recent second gen RX7 turbo build:

I moved the coils up slightly on the valve cover to make the angles a little better and avoid the downpipe. If it was my car, I would put all 8 coils on the firewall, I think that looks cool and keeps them out of the way. Then just make up a plug wire set. Not required but just what I would do if I was building an ls swapped fox

I looked at those photos and I really only think the header/crossover setup would work, pretty much anything else would still need to be custom fabricated

Default Larger turbo

What all would have to be changed to run a larger turbo with this kit?
