more goodies and progress pics. got my brian tooley dual springs kit and trunion bearings kit in today and got the rockers knocked out, also repositioned my fuel tank because it already annoyed me. i dont know why i positioned it off center like that. after two hours of cutting grinding welding and repainting, got it back in place. also made a bracket up underneath for my in line walbro and soon, the corvette regulator for it. anyone know where the best place to put the regulator is? near the engine or can i just stick it right after the fuel pump and not have to run two fuel line hoses from the engine compartment to the rear? heres the start of the pics

lol had to change that tank location immediately after i finished weldin it all in. wasnt havin that.

ive got a question for someone. if an fittings are measured by 1/16's of an inch, wouldnt a 3/8 size hose that goes on a barbed fitting work just fine with a -6an fitting on the other end? say i have the 6an fitting on my fuel cell, and a walbro inline 255 with 3/8 barbed fittings.. can i not just throw a -6an fitting on one side to connect to the tank and clamp the 6an hose onto that barbed male fitting that comes with my walbro..? i see all these threads about all the an fitting swaps but why? if the hose connects onto it and the fuel flows smoothly, why buy two more fittings for each side of the walbro? thats like 40 bucks of extra unneeded ****? its only 40 bucks but wouldnt the barbed fitting be even more reliable? less chance for failure since theres only one fitting, not two?

Because AN hose isn't supposed to be clamped...not safe and not sexy...LOL

Default fuel hose decision

as my engines about to be done, im working on engine mounts and trying to decide how i want to set up my fuel system and what i want to use for fittings and hose.

what does everyone use for efi setups these days? iv been reading mixed reviews about different companies fuel hoses and fitting combos... does anyone prefer one brand to another? any shops on here have reps that can tell me what the shops prefer?

ive got a russel in line filter then an inline walbro then a corvette regulator. trying to decide what brand and type of hose i want for pump gas.. whats gonna hold up the best against all the additives in the gas, best fitting connections, etc.. i dont want to have fuel leaks and have to redo stuff

Coming along nicely. Luv the remote sitting on the engine block. Every garage needs a good TV.
