bczee it was nice talking to you at the pleasant hill car show the other weekend. I still need to make some inner fender wells and run the intake into the fender well. Im having a hard time deciding on the stock LS3 fuel rail covers, custom covers or no covers and clean up the upper part of the engine.

the wheels are Boss 338 20" that were chrome and I had powder coated. Some of the engine details: crate LS3, Sanderson headers with vband clamps, March pulleys, Speartech wiring, K&N filter with custom intake, TCI 4l60e/TC/flexplate, Moser 9" with 3.50 gears, Inland Empire 502 driveshaft.

I was thinking a 2 piece inner and outer fender. Then adding a third piece on the inside that acts as a cover hiding some electrical and hoses as well as running my intake into it. If you look at the engine compartment pictures and notice the fender above the tire. I actually cut the original out which wasn't flat/straight and welded in some 1.5" angle and moved it up for clearance then made it look like it belonged. Making it easier to make an inner fender.

A buddy of mine told me to talk to one of his buddies who has a sheet metal company in town. I would do it myself if I had a break. I was at good guys today and saw some good ideas but I bet if you went to some of these builders they would charge and arm and a leg for a few bends. Are you building a 64 as well?

Yes, a 64 Belair. 5.3 single s475 setup with a th350 fully built trans. My chassis is done. Powder coated frame, global west suspension, cpp500 steering box, 18/20 MB "Old School" wheels, cpp disc brakes with 7in booster. I also reinforced the x on the frame with 1/8th inch mild steel. Finishing the floors on my rotisserie and should have her back on the chassis in a few months. Ill start a build thread once I get more pics and the body back on the chassis.

So I've been waiting for my painter to come over so we can do the final sand before paint. I have been building the new panels for the doors and back seats while waiting. I also have figured out my battery draw down and I think my new steering colum is the issue. My new horn relay is hot to touch with no key in the ignition. It also will click if I wiggle the turn signal arm. It is all brand new wiring and when I unplug it the draw goes away. Will be calling the manufacture of the steering column.
