Finally running and driving 71 camaro lq4 swap
Well finally able to drive my car with new "used " 700$ junk yard 6.0. Swap went pretty well. I was surprised it went as well as it did. Bought 2000 6.0 out of a truck and installed hot cam, valve springs, ls2 intake, injectors, everything else stock. Made 273 hp at 4800 rpm on the dyno. We were not able to make a full pull because of a pretty bad vibration. I haven't had time to check drive shaft or pinion angel. Tuner thinks it should make 300 ish with full pull.I know they make better combos then what I have but ls2 intake, rails and injectors were cheap and they were brand new take offs. I don't have enough clearance for truck stuff. My main goal was to get it running I can always upgrade later. This is my first thread hope pics show.

You should be at 400 hp. As for mpg depends on trans and gear. What are you running? Mines 3.42 gear with turbo 350 trans. However I found 4l80 for 350$ I think I'm going to buy.

I think you should definitely be close to 20 miles per gallon with overdrive and that gear. I talk to a builder who says they get almost 30 with a six speed

Does anyone know when swapping to a 4L80 from the TH 350 how to do the drive shaft. I don't think my stock drive shaft will fit at least I know it's too long but what about you joint set up? Also I think the 4l80 has a 30 splined drive shaft instead of the 28 spline. I guess you I would probably have to find a drive shaft out of the truck and have it modified?
